I must have watched this scene a dozen times now. I notice how Lusi acts like a little girl... the way she moves, shuffles, looks. Nails it. And her mom is outstanding. 😅

its really nice to see how she is defending shaoshang but she ultimately was a terrible person to that girl and showed her what favortism really was. She could not fix the amount of pain she inflicted on Shaoshang in the end.

The empress was the true mother figure for Niao Niao. All the good teachings she learned come the empress and because of her Shaoshang become more refined, emotionally mature and strong. After all the empress showed love and respect for her and won her trust something her own mother didn't care to cultivate and win.

Mom used "Aura of Death". Inflicts silence and petrified conditions on targets.

Watching this segment again, I just now realized her mom took the carriage and left her there. Another sign the mother really does not care for or about this daughter. Her coming seeminly on behalf of her daughter is stricly official business responding to the humiliation from the guy's family.

One look from Shaoshang’s mother and their blood froze in their veins! Of course it didn’t stop their mouths from working. Slap did that later. Shaoshang’s mother is a fierce warrior and still an elegant woman. Makes the other 2 look like bag ladies.
