In a very early example of product placement, Ariston cigarettes were used (as a clue to the killer's identity) in Fritz Lang's classic "M".
Hard for me to get into the 30's smoking aesthetic. From modern viewpoint, dwelling in that cloud is rather nasty... funny how things change.
