Janet has had one helluva career, and she deserves all of the credit on the world.

No matter how many awards they give her, she ALWAYS shares the spotlight with her fellow women. An interviewer once said to her: "Without you, there would be no Beyonce" and she immediately shut him down and told him there is room for ALL of them, and said she was proud of how far women have come. You can't not love Janet.

I totally agree. She is The Empress of Pop and rightfully owns her thrown. She is one of the blueprints of many pop artists in the 90s along with Madonna and Cher. The Queen and Goddess of Pop. @@emilystevens6335 HI. Don't know your age. Paula Abdul choreographed the Nasty video. When a choreographer works in a video, they of course create the choreography. This is not defined as imitation. Taking choreography for stage and video performance doesn't preclude natural talent, but excels upon it. Pretending the comment did mention "natural dance talent," although it didn't, here's this: Janet Jackson danced with the whole Jackson family on their variety show when she was tiny. Those kids each possessed all-around talent. Her talent was also welcomed by the legendary Debbie Allen to star as a lead actress and dancer on the TV hit "Fame," alongside the most technically excellent professionally-trained/well-rounded young dancers of that Era. The Rhythm Nation choreography was a well-recognized *innovation* in dance--a a phenomenon never exactly represented prior to, by Paula Abdul (who had no role in it) or any other top professional in the field. It was new and legendary--an establishment--therefore no copy. It's hard to make a convincing statement when you paint the brush that broadly. She's had an over 3-decades career. With thousands of performances, live and recorded. You saw some Paula Abdul, great. It was a good coupling of talented dancing and talented choreography. But that marriage was limited.

Awwww that Janet!! Congratz to her!! Everytime they show that " Scream" video and they break that dance down together that gives me chills. I went to two of her concerts before the pandemic and she always did that Scream song. It's unique.. The best of brother/ sister history ourstory. Anyway she loves that so much and people are always re doing Michael's dances over and over again so we can't say she can't touch that dance and you won't feel the same spark people have been giving us of Michael's memories everytime you see a Michael wanna be or a Janet one, we always whooooo they can dance like Michael. So picture her doing Scream with one of her dancing nephews that has original Jackson voice or moves? They would bring back the magic. Because the only thing I regret is they didn't tour that song together before he passed away and it was so sad to see her do it alone. Anyway I hope to see some real Jacksons on the stage often bringing back the legendary. Memories. They have enough of them and they all look and sound alike. GOD didn't make no mistakes when he brought more of them to continue Michael.
