Provided that every effort is made, he says - "the end of 1942 will see us in a better position then we are now." He speaks of possibility of the long and hard war.

    Many or our "ruling class" were well educated and may have spoken with an accent slightly closer to English than we do today. I don't think those men had a hard time at all.
