Everything looks phenomenal! It look like you spent hours at the nail salon. Wow, the colors are beautiful! Rich! Bright! And full coverage! You make me what to go broke 😂 I have a lot of chunky glitters in so many colors. When I’m searching for plain colors gel polish sets, its glitters added with it, which I don’t want more glitters.

this is SOOOO pretty! Thank you for being so informative! I go to your channel often for tips and my manis have been progressively been getting so much better and lasting a LOT longer. Also. Oh my god I wrote that comment before even seeing you do two coats of base on the swatch stick. GENIUS. I got a ton of chunky glitters in a sparkle and co mystery bag last week and have been so nervous because I can never clear encapsulate them properly. I end up with huge bare spots…and then have to do another coat…and then lay down too much base to try and fill in the gaps…and then it ends up looking like a mountain range…and then I file it down too hard to the point where I’m filing glitter too 😫 Basically it’s a whole mess but I might be brave and try the activator tip and then the two coats before clear. Fingers crossed!

We have alllll been there!! I have done the activator hack with several brands liquids and never had an issue. BUT I think with this brand, it made the base dry too fast 🤔 all part of experimenting! So I used the liquids again for a chunky glitter nail and skipped activator and didn’t have any dry time issues! 🙌🏼 so def give it a try, but if it doesn’t work, it’s totally okay!! In that case, I would try just the extra base (let dry) and then do clear!! That should help with the bare spots and ridges 🥳 please keep me posted on how it goes!

Thank you so much! 🥰 it definitely has taken me some time to see what works for me and what doesn’t. I do my best to keep dip powder on them at all times for strength so they don’t break. I also apply CandiSkinCare daily as often as I remember. And I’m not currently soaking off in acetone right now. I am using peel base which means no acetone butttt they pop off within 1-3 😅

I am new to diy mains I love your videos. Do you recommend sticking to one company or doing as you do and try each?

Totally personal preference! For 3 years I pretty much only used 1 company. It wasn’t until I started to branch out that I realized there are soooo many others out there. There’s no right or wrong way to go about it 🥰 especially if you love to support a particular company or don’t have the budget to try many. Whatever makes your heart happy! 💖

Sooooo so pretty, do the liquids cross contaminate easily

Hi! Great video! I have a question: after you apply the chunky glitter, and you put on the activator and wait 2 minutes, do you wipe the ails before you apply base again and do your clear dip??

Thank you !! So I do not rub the nail after. I tried once and it just got caught on the glitter. I just wait the 2 min for it to dry and it seems to do okay! I do think maybe these liquids don’t like the “activator hack” and that’s why my clear cap base dried too quickly. I’m going to try it without the extra activator and see! 👩‍🔬

I had that same thought but it has gone okay!! You absolutely can skip this step though if you’re worried 💗 it’s totally optional! I plan to skip it with these liquids because it doesn’t seem to play well together 😆 it’s def a process of experimenting !

Do you ever find that your brush gets some of the darker pigment on it after applying? I’ve had it happen a couple of times and not sure why…. I’ve let it dry and brushed off thoroughly before brushing on?

Hey Lisa! Are you talking about the base brush getting stained after it touches dark color dip powders? It definitely happens 😩 when it does I always wipe as much as possible off on a napkin immediately, before putting it back in the bottle. Usually after a few days I do notice it goes away in the bottle though 💗
