Never saw the literal opposite of a basketball god call himself that. The only (and I think that'll definitely remain that way for even future NBA players) player ever that brought the weakest possible move to be crafted ever. Who also, years later, combined it with the worst possible outing for a player of his caliber and in his age/career position. And for his team and co-star. Chuck is spot on. When the Warriors lose everyone blames/d Steph for it, even though it isn’t his fault. When KD was with the Warriors he had a free pass. He was completely blameless and that is what Chuck was saying. Steph was at the forefront and was and still is the leader for the Warriors. Now KD is control of Brooklyn, he is the bus driver there.

KD was the best physical player on the Warriors, but the team as a whole was led by Steph, and it still is today. As Steph goes the team goes. If the Warriors had lost no one would have blamed KD because he wasn't then and isn't now seen as the leader of that team. A real leader leads by example. KD doesn't do that. He didn't then and he doesn't now, hence Brooklyn being swept.

The jet didn’t win it either. He happened to be on a championship team. In other words they would have won with another average point guard.

Kenny should realize that being a "bus rider" doesn't mean you weren't a valuable contributor to the team. Every championship team needs "bus riders"; every superstar needs good role players. Players who can recognize when they're not the bus driver, and set aside their ego to play a supportive role to the actual bus driver are incredibly valuable and needed for a championship contender. The point Chuck is making is that KD hasn't led a team to victory. The Warriors had already proven they could win a title and had posted the best regular season in history by the time KD joined them. They were already a championship team who KD piggy-backed on to win his titles.

About time someone said it.

Chuck and Kenny are both right in certain areas. Kenny calling Chuck a champion is a little confusing, but the spirit of what he was getting at is that even though he doesn't have a ring he was an honorable, loyal, and admirable competitor, thus the 'champion' mindset, who lost with grace. Chuck, with grace, accepts with great accountability that him not having a ring puts him a step below his contemporaries that have gotten it. But he's very secure with his career that it doesn't bug him, he's realistic. He doesn’t try to aggrandize his career to more than what it was but he also knows he was a an absolute baller, which he was. Highly respect Chuck.

Man, I sincerely loves these guys! So much genuine entertainment.

In a weird way KD asked for this, Chuck is spot on. In Golden State everyone knew it was Stephs team, he was the driver. KD might have scored the most points but stephs movement off the ball and unselfish nature allowed KD to be KD. By leaving Golden State and going to the Nets, he prioritized driving the bus over winning more rings. This is what comes with the territory. It's what Lebron and Steph have dealt with for the last decade or so. Is it harsh? Maybe. But it's the truth. You're 3 years into this project. You got swept in the first round. This was what you wanted, your own team. Now drive the bus.

Sometimes in life we do things that we wish we would have done differently. KD probably wishes in hindsight that he didn’t join the warriors. That one decision overshadowed a career full of greatness. One championship in OKC would have meant more than those rings in golden state. I think KD is finally realizing the magnitude of that decision and the impact on his legacy. I think Giannis winning in Milwaukee shined a light on ring chasers. As crazy as it is to say, Giannis will have a greater NBA legacy than KD. Something no one would have ever predicted 2 years ago.

I Love How Shaq told Kenny he wouldn't understand about being a Bus Driver cause he was never a Team's to Superstar and He is Right. His point is that when you are a bus driver, there comes more responsibility on you and being a great player you have to do more than what have been asked from you when you were a bus rider. That "bus rider'" comment struck a nerve with Kenny.. just like when Charles said if "Kenny didn't play with Hakeem, he'd be cut." Kenny been holding on to that pain and resentment, ever since. And no Kenny. In basketball mortality, Sir Charles is not a champion, but he's still recognized as basketball royalty, for his great individual accomplishments. And pushing his team's to the brink of championships. However, Sir Charles is most definitely, a champion in life. Growing up poor in Leeds, Alabama. Chuck is definitely a champion. He won gold at the olympics. Given he was in the MJ era, I will accept that. There were quite a few in that era who would easily be a champion.

KD can take all the petty shots he wants at Barkley, but it won’t change the fact that Barkley is 100% right. KD may have won 2 titles as a mercenary for Steph’s Warriors, but KD has never gotten it done as the bus driver of his own team. That’s true no matter how many Barkley memes he posts.

Chuck is correct & he is self-aware enough to say that as great as he is (top 50 all-time & top 5 in his position), he cant sit at the table with all-greats who led their team to championships, so he's not hating or being biased here. However, I disagree with him qualifying KD as a bus rider. When he joined the Warriors at the time, the Cavs had huge psychological edge over them. They were not a genuine 73 win team, they had massively overachieved in regular season & it cost them in the playoffs, so after that comeback, they would not have beaten them again without him imo. Also, although Steph remained the most important player, Durant became the main offensive threat on that team, so he wasnt just a rider. At worst its a partnership like Shaq & Wade, so the pressure was the same. The fact Steph had won before he got there & gone back to the finals after him puts him higher on the all-time pantheon, but while they were together, he wasnt the alpha and I dont think this resurgence could have been possible without KD, so thats where I think Chuck is being unfair here...

No actually he is fake af, and salty for not getting a ring. Remember misery loves company. So the more he can put great players with championships down to justify him not winning one the more he will do it. And people like you let him get away with it
