Love your channel Jeff, and I saw Codydon Reeder using one too! My channel is small and so is my budget, but this is an investment I cant pass up! Im might have to sell of a few musical instruments and a child or two but, hey its all for the sake of art right?
Awesome! That is really high-quality work! I've got some interesting applications in mind for a cordless high-speed camera.

Can't believe you have such amazing skills with such a low audience. I'll spread the word best I can, but I don't have much of an audience either.
Looks pretty amazing!

2,500$ is stupidly affordable. That's like saying you wish there more affordable luxury electric sports cars. If you didn't realize, most good high speed cameras cost over 30,000$ or so. Please stop complaining.

I love the simply assembled case. Is the final design going to have the same accessibility to the inner components? Is that a C or a CS mount?
@tesla500

Yes, the basic design will be the same. The camera body itself is CS mount, with a C adapter

Hi David , thanks for making this camera me and Jeff had a blast playing with it . Jeff seems to love it and is super excited to play with it hahaha . It's a cool camera I can't believe u build that . Nice job .

i laugh every time i hear that one guy in your videos saying "ready!"
Also I know touch screens are easy and cheap but there's a reason dslr's still have dozens of functions available through physical buttons, not having to look at a display can be a huge bonus

Don't think that's an issue for a high speed camera. Those are not really point and shoot cameras and every shot usually takes some amount of setup anyway.

Seems like a great Camera! Nice work!
OMG, i'm blown away by the work done on this. Bravo!
Thanks for making this, I am in when the kickstarter begins! This is amazing and needed!
I admire your approach and enhusiasm on this project!
Impressive, well designed and manufactured to a very high standard with excellent materials. You are an artist!
That's a very impressive design. Good luck with your production and kickstarter campaign!
This is simply amazing work! i really hope you get far with this project. You bring a niche hardware to the general public in an amazing way!
This blew me away, I've been following your stuff for a long time and I'm really loving it all. I aspire to be a lot like you some day. I hope that I am in a situation to afford to back your kickstarter when it goes live because I really would want something like this and to further research like this.
Holy crap this is awesome! Pretty much exactly what I've been looking for. I especially love that scroll wheel thingy, very useful. Well done!
Awesome work - hope the kickstarter launch goes well - you deserve it.
Awesome build man, I hope this project lives long and prospers!
I just saw Dave's review and wanted to wish you the best of luck. This thing is capable of becoming a game changer and I hope all your hard work and dedication pays off.I have yet to check out the kickstarter yet but chances are one way or another I'll be budgeting for this in the future after the holidays.
As always, thank you very much for all of your insight and selfless efforts!
You have done something that is amazing by any standard and the fact that you did a lot of this by your self and gave it out to youtubers that can really show off what this can do is incredible!
Personally I love the raw machined aluminium look. Maybe you could make that a no cost option (it would save you a bit on powder coating or hard anodising as well so more profit for R&D)
Great project. Looking forward to see the kickstarter. Good luck.
Wow, that is amazing work. Just the amount of hours that would go into that is mind boggling. That looks fantastic.
lovely work sir, i hope you make thousands of them!
Will be very interested in this when this pops in Kickstarter! Keep up the great work.
Awesome...you've got a sale here for sure!
Been seeing these pop up on some of my favorite channels so I figured I would come check it out. Very impressive.
Woah woah... wait a minute, you MADE THAT?! Gosh and golly, God has blessed you with extreme talents! You've just EASILY earned a subscriber, a fellow engineer. God bless you and thank you for sharing. 😎😀
This is fantastic. I've always wanted a high speed camera to make content, but the price. With this, i'll be that much closer to finally obtaining one! Well done good sir!
Brilliant work. Absolutely love the system engineering that went into this.
That's very nice. I see few "problems" as fillmaker: -At least fhd 1920x1080 max resolution ( maybe @800fps) -Compatible with other mounts like EF, or better, E mount - many fillmakers use EF mounts because It's easy to adapt to sony E or other mirrorless mounts and have good and fast optics for cheap. (maybe offer a version with the EF mount-even if the sensor si smaller than aps-c size, es can add metabones speedbooster or similar) -Log or cine gamma profile - like in sony cameras -Better battery - many filmmaker have the np-f sony batteries that can be changed fast and easy, they have many sizies (eg: np-f550 up to np-f970) and they are cheap. Thank you for your time
Amazing work, my friend. Good luck in the next steps.
This tear down was very informative. This is on my radar when it goes live, I'd love to use it in future videos. That machining work looks great, very professional. Good luck in your funding campaign!
Amazing work, it's great to see what one guy can still do in a garage.
I would mention that having all the connectors on a daughter board is a *must*. I can't count the number of black magic pocket cinema cameras which were destroyed due to the HDMI being on the main board. It means when a connector is abused and ruins the board it doesn't require a new main board (which has the CPU attached, at least in this case the sensor is on a daughter board already - the BM camera had the HDMI on the same board as the sensor). This isn't optional at all, it's a must for this type of camera, sometimes all it takes is someone brushing past with an external monitor plugged in and it will rip the tracks off the board and ruin it.

Absolutely fantastic! A lot of people have been waiting for this scope of camera and you completely knocked it out of the park! Guess I'd better start setting some $$ aside... XD
Great work! Good luck with kickstarter!
you are an awesome engineer!
This is AMAZING. Can't wait for your Kickstarter. Please also keep in mind that there was a 1,000fps camera that was funded on Kickstarter already and they ended up having money problems after hitting some major issues. I'll be watching for yours!

I've seen footage on KZread which look pretty good - of course it all depends on if the shooter has good lighting, focus, etc... but off the bat, this one looks really good.
now that Cody's Lab and Backyard Scientist both linked here in their videos this channel is gonna go holywood af! :-DDD
This channel are *AWESOME!* I'm subbed.
Wow, for a prototype, that is VERY fancy. You make other kickstarters cry in that level of detail!
Nice man, wish you all the luck!
What an amazing journey tesla ! after all these years is amazing to see what you've accomplished, Im 100% sure the kickstarter will go really well, congrats dude !
this is really nice. i dont think i need one but its very fun to see how you built it.
Amazing piece of hardware. Good job!
that project just oozes awesomeness
good job man i hope to see your hard work pay off :)
Amazing camera, nice quality, amazing how you used almost the same board
Brilliant camera, I was sent over here from Taofledermaus' latest video that featured this camera. The price is very fair given just what that camera can do and I would defiantly like to see this project succeed. Also I got a kick out of seeing Twilight on the main board, nice touch, you should keep that there as an Easter egg.
FRIGGING awesome ! So, so much in this world that our eyes have not seen......... until now ! I can think of a thousand things that it could be used for and hope someday I'll own one !
The first test shot with the balloons (9:27) is really interesting because the first balloon that pops is actually what pops the second balloon, not the dart.

Love the result! i have many old C mount lenses i would love to try on this incredible camera !
This is fantastic! I love how many features you integrated into the system and how well designed everything is. Also, I love that you have twilight sparkle on the silkscreen, I hope you always keep that on there, its such a nice touch :3

Indeed, it is. Opinions differ when it comes to things like this. While I truly think he made an amazing job, as I am quite aware of what is going on in the background (all the work that went into machining (and the creation of the CAD files), the PCB layout, the years of prototyping and the huge amount of money he spent). But for me, this completely unnecessary silkscreen addition ruins it quite a bit. He must be extremely into MLP to put such artwork onto something that took so much effort and time to make. I quite dislike the MLP fandom and can't get away from the feeling that he just put it there to spread the word and force MLP onto a completely different thing. What I mainly dislike about the MLP fandom is the aggressiveness with which they put avatars, fanart, and stickers everywhere. I can't understand what is behind this fandom but I simply find it weird and odd. However, I am absolutely not trying to start another fight about MLP. This is just my personal opinion and I am not saying anybody is wrong about liking it. But I simply don't think this belongs onto a 2500$ commercial product which is quite a reasonable price for how much effort went into it.
@spectrHz
7 жыл бұрын
I totally understand what you mean, but I don't think he is trying to force MLP on anyone, honestly, I didn't even know he was into it until I saw it on the silkscreen. He doesn't say he is anywhere and none of his logos/avatars show any hints that he is. Although, most of what you mention happens in all fandoms, you also see anime pictures plastered everywhere on forums, and superheroes, video games, etc. Certainly a lot of people in the MLP fandom have an "I don't care what you think" mentality, however, tesla500 definitely does not present himself as that kind of fanatic. He just really likes it and doesn't try to hide it.
@0xbenedikt
7 жыл бұрын
SpectrHz Indeed he does not force it on anybody. However he has made or just actively hosts this website which indirectly highlights how strange this fandom can be krontech.ca/bronycan2015/ Many adults enjoy watching kids shows and I don't think either that there is anything wrong. Many parents enjoy watching with their children. But except for MLP nobody goes into the public and actively maintains a fandom which might not be the best thing to do. The best would be to simply enjoy the shows at home and not make a whole fandom. Wait, this is the internet. I forgot.
Have watched the camera development since you started the youtube vidos. Always hoped you would go for a production camera. Looks like it won't be long now. Keep up the good work.
WOW! Nice friggin work man.
Absolutely amazing
Awesome. Exited to see the final version :DD
good luck I hope the campaign goes well and i hope I see it when it goes live!
It took me until I watched this video to actually get what you were on about with milling all these camera housings. First I thought (months back) that you just gonna make a rugged outer case for a commercial camera. Pretty amazing electronics you got there. Hat's up!
Awesome, can't wait for the kickstarter :)
incredibly impressive
A lot of those shots are giving me flash backs to early Mythbusters. For the price, seems like an amazing camera, I hope you're able to get it into production!
I'm going to start saving money now. I will definitely buy one.
Great looking product, well done.
Wow! Good luck Sir!
that's some impressive work
Wow, I don't understand everything you're talking about here, but this is very informative, I can tell you really care about creating a quality product!
that is some staggering board design there!
Amazing camera, i definitely want one!
This is amazing! Keep it up!
I have to say this is just awesome!!!
Great design, thanks for sharing
Damn. I always hoped to see an update on your camera and it looks pretty solid and well engineered. The price seems good compared to commercial units and i really want one but still can't afford or justify that now. I hope your kickstarter is successfull and you can improve it later even more.
Jeff of Taofledermaus sent me. Your camera looks fantastic. Count me in as a buyer. I can't wait for it to go into production. Thanks for all your hard work. I'm looking forward to supporting you with a purchase!
Amazing that you designed this yourself.
beautiful design!
Excellent work. I hope I can afford one when your campaign starts.
Wow! looking forward to it's release
Some amazing footage there Tesla500, especially the balloons; both air and gas. That case for the camera looks great too. Love the footage of it being made being shot right on the camera the case is intended for!
Very nice.... good job on the vid!!!
This is innovation at it's finest.
Good work done!
I don't understand a word you said, but you are a genius!
Mesmerizing!
I'm very into this camera. I want high speed that will fit in a small camera bag and this is perfect. Really like the controller on the back. No need to make it pretty engineers and DP's are going to be using this. Keep the test footage coming.
WHa... but.. what how? I,m speechless.Amazing job!
cool product, I have no need for one but hope the best!
fast! and in the right price range..kudos
wow looks awesome
This is amazing!!!
Brilliant : ) Can't wait to buy one : )
