We had six sons in nine years. The general rule became - “the one that wakes us up before 7:00 am is going to be the last one to open thw presents”. Long story short - whispers outside of our bedroom door until it was 7:00 am

What I love is that the kids actually go play with the toys long enough for the parents to have a nap, cuz ours will definitely be bored after 2 minutes 🤣😭

@@lukefraney3026 lol, I'm to the point where I don't care about the food or any of it. I've always been more of a Halloween fan because I love all the scary stuff. Horror movies are my favorite. Also as a kid, all my birthday parties were on Halloween because my birthday is close to it. We had costume parties with junk food and everyone got a bag full of candy and it wasn't the cheap kind. Trick r treating was not a thing for us growing up. Never really liked it either. But my birthday parties were what we did.

NGL - this was me as a kid & is how my own kids were. But, now that my kids are teens & young-adults, I don't stay up till 3-4am anymore, usually about 12-1am, I say "Fukk it" & put everything in gift bags. Everything. Also, I gave up on trying to wrap with ribbons or bows - they dont care. I dont put name tags on anything, I pick 2 wrapping papers for each person & wrap all their stuff in those, but no one but me knows whose is whose! BWAHAHAHA. Lastly, I dont cook breakfast anymore; I get a package of bacon out after breakfast, tell them to fend for themselves & go back to bed for a morning nap.

We have to go stay the night at my BIL’s with literally 17 other adults so we can get up at the ass crack of dawn and watch 4 kids under the age of 6 open gifts. None of those kids are ours. Then I get to come home and cook our holiday dinner 😖 Oh, and I just found out we’re spending the night 2 days ago. Good times.
