You know how they make heated gloves & socks? I wonder if they make heated scarves since the cold weather affects his neck. Someone should send a battery operated heated scarf!

Firstly , good health to our darling , Selmar.. we adore you ----- bedrooms are deliciously top notch glamorous ! Marie is precious .. best love to you in the new year --- and Stephanie, rule well over them all .. you are the heart and soul and glamor queen of LaLande...!

The amount of videos you are making at the moment is quite astonishing most channels make 1 or 2 a week you are making 8+!😮 its amazing and I love it but take some time off after Christmas sweetie even your regular upload schedule is a lot. Totally agree, Fran. I do hope that Kat comes back; but, keep thinking about the lovely holiday that her family has and hope she gets to have some of that time with them. Love Kat and how she fits in with everyone at Lalande. She is lovely and has a fabulous laugh!

She may not be able to travel back after Christmas as France has today just closed its borders to the UK, as have many other countries, due to the rapid spread of the virus variant. 😔

Davy’s room is so warm and welcoming. What a perfect place for all the furniture and the green glass in the bathroom! Great job Phillip!

I thought I was most like Stephanie in the house, but I'm beginning to think I'm more like Phillip afterall. I share in his mad love of woodland creatures and it is my greatest joy in life to match up things, creating a cohesive aesthetic and decorating spaces for the comfort of others. I get inspiration from each of the different wonderful Lalander's and love how positive everyone is and how each person contributes in different ways to make something special and memorable. Variety is the spice of life!

Such a beautiful friendly touch with that Christmas tree. and the garland in the bedroom.

Loved Kat and Philip shopping together. Philip did a wonderful job on David's room.

Philip has such a great eye for detail. He did a fantastic job on both rooms. Him and Kat shopping was so funny and Marie's lovely bath salts as a gift in each room is so generous. What a great team at LaLande. ❤️

Love the way you all talk to each other in this playful, loving and friendly way. Kat, Philip, Marie, Nati, Selmar and Stephanie these Advent vlogs have been so lovingly done and have brought such joy!! I have watched several many times (Day 7-10 especially) and most at least twice as well as the ones from last year. I am so glad to see Selmar at dinner and Nati there as well. You have made your guests feel special and warmly welcomed - beautifully done rooms and touches of Christmas. Enjoyed the Christmas shopping and decorating and seeing Marie’s flowers and special touches. You are all so gracious, gifted and lovely!! Look forward to these final Advent days before Christmas with you all and the festivities of Christmas! Much, much love 💕

Phillip has added so much to the beauty of your rooms! So elegant the way he has brought things from all over to make each room seem perfect!

This is one of those vlogs where the magic just comes through the screen that much more! Phillip did a phenomenal job sprucing up the guest rooms!

I love how Philip is so particular about having the perfect colour or style then pops a Christmas hedgehog and a couple of disco baubles in the room. It really gives the rooms character and let's the people shine though.

I must say that the rooms are absolutely gorgeous! So festive and done so nicely! Love the words of wisdom from kat " It may not suit your liking but think who you are decorating for" She is so correct. Philip and Kat had such fun shopping. different ideas, but maybe that is good to look at all sides first?

The bedroom were very well decorated. Anyone would feel very welcome, the difficult part would be to leave :)

Today's vlog was one of my favorites. Fluffing up the guest rooms, decorating them for Christmas, seeing your two guests and how pleased they were with their lovely rooms was pure joy.

Rooms looked cosy and elegant with the nice touches, sweet.

There is such chaos at French and UK ports, Kat would be better off staying with the lovely bunch at Lalande and not attempt to get back to UK at the moment.

Oh, I wish I had a wool cowl knit up, to keep Selmar neck warm, wool is so therapeutic. Maybe after Christmas I can make one, I’ll be sewing ,knitting and cross stitch framing until Christmas morning . I work best under pressure.....or so I tell myself. The decorating is just gorgeous, Christmas will be wonderful in such fairytale surroundings. I hope everyone stays well and the virus stays far away. The best part of the decorating, making rooms welcoming, is how you work together. So glad that Selmar is better.

I have never been a fan of Christmas and I'm probably the most antisocial person I know. But you all make me want to be at LaLande for the festivities. Having said that, though, at my advanced age, we would all have a better time, if I stay at home. ❤️

Philip has a great sense of style, in interior design and dress. Always amazing to see what outfit he's wearing. Did he bring lots of luggage or is most of his wardrobe from Emmaus? I think. The dungarees look great by the way. Hope Cat gets home safely during all the chaos we are experiencing in the UK. Hope she gets to return to Lalande at some point. Y'all are doing a fabulous job decorating the rooms for guests. And Marie, I am absolutely loving all the arrangements! Oh, to have a florist in house!

To Selmar, or anyone suffering a neck injury, or wake up with a “crook” in your neck... Put wet hand towel or fish towel in microwave for roughly 40 seconds. Or as hot as you want. Wrap around back of neck. It eases the muscles.

or a sock with uncooked rice tied shut and placed in microwave for maybe 40-70 Seconds, but it all depends on the microwave. But stop it and feel the sock every so often, to check. Or whatever you would like to use that can be closed up well and tied shut. Or sewn shut. Like square material, and sewn on three sides and just a hole left on one side to get the rice into it, and then sew that shut too. That works nicely and as a gift. It stays warm for a long time. That feels lovely and is much like the ones you buy at the store for hot and cold Peggy your idea is great too and often in hospitals they warm-up blankets before you go to surgery just to heat you up a bit, with the blanket done in that way. Very comforting

Ice packs are what physios use as ice brings down inflammation. Not as pleasant but very effective.

@@francesaggarwal22 AT first Ice then later heat. But it is up to the Dr's as each person is different. I do understand why though you do say Ice and not heat, as you feel heat inflames and ice repels. That is what the Physios probably have said. Selmar will know as he is going to a doctor and so he may well try ice not sure? He may have done that at first? Stiff necks can't stand it when cold out. But he is going to go to a professional so we all are doing our best giving our own advice, we have heard or used, I guess? Glad he will see a Dr. I do not know that Selmar has arthritis, just a stiff neck at this time. Thank God he will be better and guess that is all we all want. Glad Nati is well again too! She was under the weather too.

I missed the premiere today because I was vending my art at my local flea market in Los Angeles. So todays vlogmas was my end of the work day chill. The chateau is so festive and the lovely touches to the rooms are so welcoming! Can’t wait to see the chateau irl. Cheers 💚❤️🎄

Again, made me laugh and enjoy part of my day. My husband sometimes puts things under my memory topper to see if I can feel it. Then jokes about me being a princess despite the swear words when I discover the item.

Stephanie is a special person and so gracious that she allows others to have input, do repairs, decorate, build, be artistic etc, etc on her Chateau. I personally am probably too much of a control freak and don't know that I could give such artistic freedom to others in my home/bed & breakfast/inn.

The part about doing the pea made me snort a beverage out of my nose. Thanks for that! LOL
