I love how she has so much passion. she's so passionate it seems as if she almost begins to sob herself.

She has a voice that one does not see everyday. She really feels the song. I enjoyed it.

seriously in the past hour ive heard this song at least a hundred times i love it so much!!! it makes me cry each time she sings it too good!!

Couldn't find this forever!! This is the song that made me fall in love with her voice!!

Because whether or not I (or anybody else) could sing it better is irrelevant. Bringing that up every time there is a criticism of something is inane, and a weak defense. The point is, she improvs and tries to make it "cool", completely missing the passion and emotion of the song, which was already plenty cool enough.

cowsongs, I agree with you 100%. Not only does she scream the song with little genuine feeling or sensitivity, she also hits some bad chords. And I play this song true to the original Roy version. Just because I don't sing it as well as Roy, I sure do sing it better than she does. That's why you're called a critic and not a singer. Eliot knows not of what he speaks.

My fiance left me, I lost a child by miscarriage, and I have had the love of my live (my ex fiance) spread rumours about me, tell everyone I was lying about the baby, laugh at me, call me names behind my back...and then he went after my best friend. I feel like everyone is against me. And its nice to know there are people out there making beautiful music to comfort people who are going through so much. Thank you so much

Fantastic, passionate interpretation. She has a phenomenal set of pipes on her, and this is a song that WILL test a singer....but...for those of you saying that she outdid Roy Orbison on this...please. I'd think that even the lady herself would consider that a bridge too far. NOBODY, save MAYBE k.d lang, has ever come close to touching Roy Orbision on this one. I would say that Ms. Perri has come closer to truly evoking the vulnerability of the original than anyone else, and for that she gets high marks IMO.

Don McLeans rendition is my personal favorite, he does Roy justice while also making it his own. Most underrated singer of the last 40 years (I am a bit biased however because he’s from my hometown).

Still a "baby face" and already so much talento :) Fantastic work in a very good song!

THE best singer as of today. I actually mean that too, I don't just throw those words out every time I hear a good singer. Not only does she have a great voice, but she really gets into the songs she sings. She'll go far, even farther then she is. CHRISTINA PERRI FOR THE WIN! :D

This song is so powerful, cant help but touches your heart. I only wish i knew Christina in person.

I really think Roy would be proud of her for this.

Oh no, he wouldn't. He was a professional, highly skilled artist and this girl is screwing around in her bedroom with a guitar and a camera, butchering a classic that has survived for decades.

Ive never really listened to christina since her Jar of Hearts hit. I really like her. Super talented. love your music. i hope fame and fortune treat her well.
