I agree! That's a rare thing, especially today. Another artist I grew to respect after seeing him in concert was John Denver. Like him or not, he was a gifted artist. He played his songs live with an accuracy you could have played his albums along with. Word for word, note for note.

Henley and Frey were adamant about live performances sounding exactly like the studio recordings. Felder and Walsh both claimed that neither Frey nor Henley would allow them to stray from the recorded version(s).

Condolences to you for the loss of your grandad. But this is what real talent is all about, replicating the sound on stage just as good as you find it on the recordings. You dont get the dancers, pyrotechnics, miming, and the pre-recorded music so many modern performers are famous for. Except for maybe Joe Walsh, they dont even dress fancy, just the clothes they arrived in.
Pure talent . But Don singing and playing drums is just pure talent .

Don Henley is an amazing vocalist, and a solid drummer, but it's no harder to play drums and sing than it is to play guitar and sing, or keyboards, or bass. When you are an experienced player, the inclusion of an instrument does not change the abilities.
@MS-bk7lv
2 жыл бұрын
@@mikeuher3755 I think you're right in that it's equal in difficulty to play any instrument and sing at the same time because what you've got to do is learn how to separate the two, and after that it's fairly 'easy'. However, one challenge you have when you're drumming while singing is that your movements are a lot bigger and include the whole body, which can affect your voice in the same way singing while dancing can
