I have a different take on this. It seemed Arsenio was kinda like a Jerry Springer interviewer, saying some sexy crap to a 17 year old while looking for a reaction from audience and Christina being a combination of classy person and with the insecurities that come from being 17 years old. I really didn't like Arsenio back then and now. I really did like Christina back then and now. Oh, wait, I see we are doing opposite comments. I didn't catch that right away. I feel dumb.

I've been a fan for a long time, but this interview makes me like her more. Arsenio even seems surprised by how introspective she is. That must be crazy, living a life where everyone expects you to be dumb, because of a character you played when you were a teenager.

Time has a purpose. Time isn't the enemy of humanity here in our lives. Whether you're religious or not,in the Bible,it had long ago predicted this. The Arensio Hall Show had been one of the best,but short-lived sitcom-talk show nostalgia '90's feeling that everyone who grew up as a teenager back then (me,born in the seventies) knew back then. In those days,even in the late '80's,times were quite different than it is today. . Things aren't the same as they used to be. Married With Children had been one of the best sitcoms ever in their day. If it had aired today,and had started production now(?), it probably wouldn't last a single season. Too much hypocrisy. Too much melodrama from Karens and Darrens who are quite liberal and stupidly and idiotically want to challenge EVERYTHING! So why not build a time machine? Like "Back to the Future" ? What *would* you do if you *did* go back in time? I'm no expert in time travel,but if you and everyone else could do that, wouldn't you alter your own history and your own extended family members future by changing the past? Wouldn't you think about the conqusences (misspelled) about what would happen if something bad does happen to you? If you die in the past, doesn't that mean you'll die in the future? Watch another movie about time travel. Called "The Thirteenth Floor" . And you'll see how surreal it can be. I had watched it on the big screen in a movie theater years ago. And,boy,let me tell you. It had gave me delirium. . Man,it gave me chills. We naïve and guillible moviegoers hadn't had a good mind f*&k in years. Married With Children will always be iconic. To withstand the test of time.

Being seventeen years of age in Texas ,and in Colorado meant that she practically had been an adult. Say what you will about moral values,but different people can mean different things for different reasons. No matter what anyone negatively thinks,men who know better already knew that Ms. Applegate wasn't the fictional character/actress everyone has portrayed her to be. Even now,in 2023, she's been there through some hard times on her life. Up and downs in her career. No matter what the naysayers also say about anything about her, especially appearing one time on Conan,years ago; everyone thought she really had been the person everyone. *else* thought she was. The typical blonde negative stereotype. Dumb bimbo. Had a lot of sass,lack of class,and probably trailer trash. But no. Christina Applegate was no dummy. Same thing with Jessica Simpson. Everyone thought she hadn't been very smart. Hadn't had much of a personality. Not much talent outside of the music business. But they were wrong. Hollywood couldn't stop her from doing whatever she wanted to do with her life. Same with Christina Applegate. Don't always assume that ALL men are sexist,have this negative attitude towards women in general. And all we men think about is....well...you know. That's being sexist. Who's to say that women aren't the same? They wanted equal opportunity rights; Believe me, they'll get it.

It's crazy to see how she was sexualized at 16,17 and her management profit from it, selling posters and magazine covers. It took her a long time to get away from that image but she never lost her marbles.

It reminded me when she had the "i'm out" attitude and decided to cut her hair real short by mid 80's in an attempt to quit the industry. But her mom encouraged her to carry on and she landed on MwC. The posters and magazine covers (specially the one with the snake and eagle) probably was her mom's idea and used her manager as the proxy. Maybe i'm getting too far in this, but considering her mom's background as a failed actress and the usual approach of using the kids to carry on the parent's failed dreams...
