This is one of my favourite songs on Elegy, it has such a mysterious Egyptian vibe. Also really appreciate the fact that it's not just 'play along' but rather live audio with different presets. Chris is a mastermind with incredible skillset.

Everybody here is mentioning bands with Egyptian vibes, but nobody is mentioning NILE? Smfh 🤦‍♂️ This was giving me nile vibes all the way through

AN actual live playthrough in a playthrough video of a song? That's badass, not that many people do that. This man is trully worthy of respect.

Chris has become my favorite modern guitarist and that’s saying a lot. I grew up playing Malmsteen and Petrucci so it takes a lot to impress me. I think this song is amazing and Frozen Tomb is a masterpiece.

Wiseman and De Micco are my top 2 fave guitarists in the game right now. Everything you did on Elegy was amazing, emotional, and completely brought the theme of the album to life. Sooo well done 🔥🔥

Seeing Shadow of Intent and Lorna Shore on the same show, now that would be a real treat! :) 2 of the greats in the current symphonic deathcore scene, IMHO

​@Vitor Varalonga SOI hasn't been deathcore for 2 album's now. And Chris is MILES ahead of Adam. Adam overuses orchestrals to drown out anything else that is going on to where the main focus of every song now IS the orchestrals instead of the guitar or drums. Also Lornas breakdowns have become insanely stale with the whole stop start/blast stop start/blast formula they do every single song. Chris not only writes amazing music for SOI but he also does it for Currents. Adam's early solos were really good from album's like Flesh Coffin but his writing has become really formulaic whereas Chris is alway's expanding the sound for both of his band's. All summed up, Lorna is overrated as hell now... Will's vocals have surged their popularity. And I'm actually a Lorna fan. I've seen them 4 times and have even chilled with Adam a few time's, just sad to see how damn samey they have gotten. The only thing you can count on with each new song now is a new orchestral and Will's insane vocals. Other then that they are getting far too much credit when there are better and more talented band's instrumentally out there like A Wake In Providence.

When I first heard this on the album, it reminded me of the instrumentals that Chimaira would put out, with 'Implements of Destruction' being one of the greatest metal instrumentals of all time. So good.

For anyone wondering, that axion label he is using is fucking incredible. Just got one at my local shop and as soon as it hit my hands I knew it was the one. Best guitar I've ever played by far

This man, and his band dragged me to the Deathcore genre last year, and made me leave all other genres that I used to listen to for the last 32 years, and I only listen to Deathcore Great Respect SOI

Out of curiosity, any bands to recommend ? I've been a fan of SOI for years and recently caught up with Lorna Shore, but I can't really find other bands that fits this vibe (though I stumbled upon Ascent of Autumn recently and I think their album kicks asses, it reminds me of the early days of SOI)
