To this day, any time I hear Chris play live with Morgane…the way she WATCHES him sing hits me in a place I can’t explain. Not only is she matching his emotion, but she’s NAILING the phrasing by watching when and where he sits with it. I love Chris, and he’s an AMAZING singer/writer, but I truly don’t think I’d get ALL the feels if his incredibly amazing wife wasn’t present.

I'm with you, Sam. Just lost my husband of 37 yrs (41 yrs together) 3 mo ago. I truly miss him. This and Joy of my Life are my go to songs to help ease the sadness. 😢 My condolences on the loss of your wife.

When the "most replayed" button is at the start of the song , you know its a good one.

Ive yet to meet anyone who doesn’t like him. Every people from everywhere like this guy. And what’s not to like.

The connection between these two is simply unmatched. Fun fact: he suffers from stage fright-one of the reasons she locks into his soul is so that he has something to offer him comfort from that fright. Absolutely beautiful! ♥️

I just adore their voices together. Mesmerizing, stunning, flows like honey.💞

@@cynthia9374 I think a lot of people overlook what she brings to his songs. It's subtle. Their voices are very complimentary. She sits back and then you catch just a little of her voice coming through. They work really well together.

It's amazing how he delivers his songs live. He always has PERFECT timing, pitch and energy. The way he has mastered his playing and deliverance is such an oddity these days and the excellence is underappreciated just as much now as it was in the past. It's truly remarkable to watch a musician be able to deliver perfection, live, time and time again. With the vast amount of artists today, you could still use one hand to count those who can deliver on this level live. I challenge you to try. He truly is a master of his trade.

A pinch is exactly what it is. It just kind of manages to surface, then it disappears. They're magical together.

It took many years for this musician to come into his own. The early recordings of him playing carnivals, horse shows, mini marts...it payed off. When you have the desire in your heart to pursue your dreams...that's what life is all about. Thank you, Chris for not giving up. We are the lucky ones...

I feel like every time Chris Stapleton has an awards show performance it’s THE performance of the year. Kills it every time. And the superbowl performance 🤌

I was a drummer on tour and the singer of my band told me to watch a video of this guy singing in a band called the Steel Drivers. I told my friend that whoever that guy was is going to break through and be something huge. Damn if that didn’t happen and on a greater scale than I thought

This song is damn close to a masterpiece. Every phrase a poem. And what a beautiful expression of love this performance is. Astounding and so simply moving. Bless you Chris and Moragne ❤

I loved the radio version and clicked on this expecting bombast worthy of an awards show. Instead, they gave us the song stripped down to nothing except lyrics, vocals, and the tiniest string accompaniment. And yeah it might seem a little self-indulgent to ask us to lean in and listen like that, but the song is that good, and they are that good at wringing out everything it has to offer.

Chris and Morgane's voices mesh so well together.

These 2 together is perfection.

I liked this live performance just as mush as the studio version. CS just has the gift. He can play just as well in real life as he can in the studio. And that is what makes him such a great performer to listen to. Morgane just brings it to boiling point! The two of them together really make these songs what they are and is always beautiful to watch them sing together in such harmony as they do. Just wow! 😍❤️❤️

People who have had the pleasure of seeing him in a small venue are really lucky. There's a place near my house with perfect acoustics. It seats about 100 people. It would be a thrill to see him in such a place.
