Chris showed unbelievable restraint. I wish I could hug him. He looked so hurt (not just physically) from the fact that no one came to his aid. Will had a whole group comforting him, got to stay, received his Oscar, standing ovation and partied with his family and peers after the show. An appalling display by everyone there who condoned the violence. As a child Chris was relentlessly bullied, and I really hope this traumatic event doesn’t cut open old wounds. This incident can easily cause PTSD. Prayers for Chris. May God keep you strong and keep the demons away.

Yeah I saw that. If he was so sorry for his behavior and all the fake tears, he surely wouldn’t be laughing when Puffy spoke. He was rolling laughing, couldn’t even sit straight in his seat laughing. I have never seen the movie he won the award for and before this I admired his talent. But now, I will not view that movie or any future ones that he is in. I have lost all respect for him. Watching Will Smith just sat there smiling, clapping and laughing like nothing happened makes me ill. Chris Rock handled this like a pro while Will Smith just looked like a street punk. Don’t use “protecting my wife’s honor” as an excuse. This guy has anger issues.

I'm still pissed off that Will Smith still has experienced no consequences. He wasn't escorted out. He wasn't arrested. He didn't lost his Oscar. He hasn't been kicked out of the Academy. WTF?! Hollywood is a joke. I'm liberal but this makes liberals look like what conservatives accuse them of being. Spineless. No law and order. No consequences for crime. The next guy that does this will say, "Nothing happened to Will Smith, why should I be punished?"

When you apologize the words are “I’m sorry” and you place a call to that person. The afterwards apology is to save himself and not sincere. Oh and by the way what happened Will when Chris made the joke and you were laughing? Remember?! So I guess you had a moment after looking at your wife and seeing her disapproval has you making a split second decision to be a bully. You know you’re not going to get hit back in this setup from Chris. Congratulations on making it uneasy every time you see each other.

Most times when you're physically assaulted in any manner, it makes you feel insignificant to the very least - like being an object that anyone can just do what they will. I hope Chris is alright deep inside.

That GI.Jane joke was mildly funny at best, at the expense of the Smiths dignity and appeal. I'd like to hear Chris Rock's apology for publicly slandering the Smiths in the name of "comedy". Comedy is not a free pass to terrorise other people. I am glad this statemet was made. Ask yourself who is the aggressor here.

@@tjscorp My dude, if you can't take a joke, don't go to the show. We all know Chris Rock likes to provoke, but in the end, it's only words. They are powerless if you don't give them any importance. And we don't even know whether Chris knew about Jada's condition or not. If you allow other people's words to emotionally control you, you become a slave to them. Will was wrong for this, plain and simple. He could have approached Chris after the show.

So people can just physically assault someone when they don't like what is said? Bullies can assault people in front of the world if they're "winners" and nothing is done? What a lesson for the world.

My ex wife had alopecia, it was a horrible time, my heart used to break when I watched her trying to come up with ways to hide it everyday. If anyone had of joked about it to her I would have punched that person if it was a guy, absolutely no questions asked.

When i walked towards Chris why they didn't stop him from the beginning ? They didn't call his name yet!

Let they be peace and I hope they both would forgive each other.

Much respect for this man. He held strong. No doubt, he won the heart of millions.
