Imo crk is one of the best hard use folders available. The blade size, washers, stop pin size, tolerances, minimal hardware, and the not over excessive blade stock and hollow grind actually makes it cut good while handling whatever needed.

Just got my first Zaan and looking forward to comparing it to the Inkosi & Sebenza. I do think CRK are some of the best out there and the fact they do things slightly differently to most other full size Ti Framelock manufacturers, makes them special in my eyes.

John, as always, appreciate your insights! I hope the Zaan is treating you well! I think if you are a CRK guy, you need at least one Zaan in your stable

I still haven’t owned an inkosi but the zaan is my favorite over the sebenza. I don’t currently own any CRKs though. Once they complete the switch to magnacut I will pick some up again.

Why wait for the Magnacut switch?

Another thing to note about the Zaan is that the harpoon is not just for looks, it’s meant to be used to put your index finger up behind in a pinch grip. How do you feel about the tab on the lock bar? I found it very weird and uncomfortable when disengaging the lock, was kind of a deal breaker for me. Other than that it’s a great knife and could handle hard use for sure. Just found your channel, good content mate 👊

That tab was ‘tough’ to get used to.. I am not a huge fan of that part of it but all in all, it is a solid, purpose built, hard use blade! Thanks for watching!
