I feel like a lot of her new generation fans are only fans because of her love story with Chris. Even with the new Netflix series.. that series only got better when Chris entered the storyline. His book was beautifully written & their story was beautifully told, why not turn it into a motion picture.

How much did he get for the book...? what did he do with the money?...he is broke!! He swore...signed an affidavit....that he would never benefit one dollar from his association with Selena ..the person ..or the artist. The brother signed the same. So did Martin Gomez ...etc... Chris is a liar...a smooth talking loser. Abandoned his 2 kids...a druggie...he deserves zero respect...uses Selena s fame and her fans love ..to make money....he is a lowlife...just like the judge said.

Cristian Garcia Just goes to show its not what's outside but inside. A reporter asked what drew SELENA to Chris and she said that unlike other guys Chris was more into her as a person than a sex object. (You must admit, Chris is handsome. What some may call 'pretty boy' but of course he's more than just that. Lol) They had their ups and downs but they stayed true to each other always. I'm just sorry SELENA was tragically taken away from Chris esp two days before their third wedding anniversary.

I love this book so far. I am still reading but I’ve started feeling a little bitter towards her family. I feel very 50/50 (this won’t last I just feel this way because of where I am in the book and the fact that I noticed a A LOT was left out or altered in the movie😅) about A.B., Suzette, and Abraham. Not Marcella. I feel like Marcella was SO SEVERELY Ride or Die for Selena. You can just find all kinds of videos, photos and scenes from the movie that show that. But my feelings towards Abraham (especially), then Suzette and A.B lastly, are so iffy because it seems throughout her life they all somehow wanted to have a hold and control of her for their own benefit and that just sits so bad with me. And I guess that wouldn’t matter because they’re a family and when she was alive she was the most important element of all of their livelihood so I can see and understand that. I’m also not ignoring the fast that she was their daughter and sibling and they all love her immensely I know that. But BESIDES that I just noticed so many different intentions and agendas held by her family when it came to her. And now 20 years later, finally learning about her and appreciating what she gave to this world and just who she was, as an adult Ive formed my perspective and opinion about allll of them. So I guess what I’m feeling towards them is a result of knowing her fate and how she only had close to 24 years of life and the many things they all did to either stop her from living her life and/or made it difficult. It sucks. But thank goodness she was so daring and fiery and STILL managed and was determined to experience life and love. Even though she passed and even though she had a tough family (which I AM aware is a blessing that she had her family I very much love and respect the entire Quintanilla family they’re an amazing bunch and an amazing force) she still lived a GREAT life. And that makes me so very happy. I obviously feel very strongly about her. For some reason the past two years I’ve grown to love Selena as if she were like my big sister or something 😂 I look up to her SO much. I seriously love who she was, love her music and just love love love her spirit. This is just my opinion from the outside looking in. I’m still currently reading the book and I am feeling many emotions. It’s hard for me not to be emotional and a little irrational because I know the ending and just reading the hardships she had because she was so vital to her family when it came to their business it’s hard to swallow. Sort of made me feel sad for her. I love that I am able to listen to her music, witness her life’s work live on through social media now but theres a little guilt (silly I know) because now I know (and will know more as i read on) just how much she sacrificed and dealt with to make EVERYTHING she accomplished possible for the world to have. Of course in life comes work and hardship. And theres no doubt in my mind she loved what she did. Im just sharing how I feel towards Selena. I just cant help but feel this strongly I’m such a huge fan of her. Nonetheless, regardless what she accomplished and the sacrifices they ALL made they gave the world some of the most iconic music, sounds, fashion and just a platform for all Latin women around the world to stand on proudly and follow their dreams just like she did. She truly made you, correction*, makes you believe everything and anything is possible. She is legendary and timeless. And I am absolutely so grateful to this family and her husband for it all.

No girl! He wasn't living with her! I misunderstood the first time I read the book too, he said he went back to his apartment and his girl in San Antonio but not that they live together. He lived with dad at the time. But hey, when love comes knocking you have to take advantage, obviously they were both meant to be together.

sorry. i love selena. her music, her person and soul. i will not continue to give $ to her brother, father, sister and her EX husband..."just" because. first, chris has been remarried in like 2001..divorced in like 2011... has 2 kids with another woman and lives in miami, fl. so legally and emotionally he is NOT married or the widower of selena. IF he wanted to go on with his life..great, get married...sorry mr. chris you can not get remarried, with kids and still "cling" to selena for fame and $. so why is the EX HUSBAND (which he is...he is no longer selena's widower) showing up at selena events. you think selena would like or want that. no adult woman would. i mean why not bring your kids, chris to a selena event or ceremony?. why the family does this?: they want the fans to think it is "1995" and give them you money. in 2019 the father (abe) sued in texas court chris. since chris wanted to make an independent movie without the father. so you "feel" the love for selena there? NOPE. they settled a year later and the "fans" were excited. how sick. before march 1995 they did little IF nothing to protect selena from yolanda. for months and months they knew yolanda was dirty, a criminal, stole over $50K and they (brother, father, selena) knew yolanda bought a gun in early march and then "returned" it. that is a person you keep seeing. go to a motel and "talk" to her and her gun in her purse. the father did little. chris was a near kid at 24yoa..then he drives selena to the motel the night before what would be her death to "meet" with crazy, criminal yolanda. does this great "husband" go in the motel at 9pm with his wife OR tell his wife to sit her butt in the truck and he will get the fan club documents. NOPE. ol boy chris is chillin in the truck at night...AC and music as his wife walks 20m to the motel room and meets with yolanda. since yolanda saw none of these so-called "great" men of her family were not protecting her. yolanda tells selena the BS that she was raped in mexico and for selena to come alone to the motel the next morning and tells selena not to tell anyone and to come alone. and well all know what happened from that. please folks love selena. wonderful women and person. stop giving $ to these folks that did little to protect selena BUT spent the last almost 30yrs sticking cash in their pockets just because they were related to her. of which, chris perez is NO longer related and has not been for 20+ yrs to selena. "BS" to the brother, father and ex husband. let selena rest in peace go make your own money or retire on the $ from the past 30 yrs.

Even if he remarried and divorced, he was a part of her band, Los Dinos, so he is also very much entitled to show up at Selena events. At the time of her death, she was not yet a solo artist...she was the main part of "Selena y Los Dinos." To say that they are making money off of her, is to ignore the fact that the band was and always has been a family business. The same way Bob Marley's family went on to release his music and authorize books, films, and documentaries after his death, and Elvis's family made money from Graceland and everything associated with Elvis, the expectation shouldn't be any different with regard to the Quintanillas and Chris.

Too bad the person who wrote the book, 'Selena's Secrets' got a tv series going on based on a bunch of lies told by YS SELENA's murderer. I'm glad Abraham dropped the suit against Chris which was totally unnecessary in the first place. This has set the process way back however. Now we will have to wait for real true story to be shown in a tv series while these lies from the other tv series are being shown. Very sad indeed.

He owed $87 000 in child support - the judge called him a lowlife - he sold the building where the boutique was in C.C. to pay drug debts and part of child support. His music/band never made money. Won a Grammy - no DVD sales - the only money he made was from the book he wrote - he is being sued for it - he violated - his affidavit. ..and from selling Selena s DVD s on amazon - another affidavit violation - another law suit. He is broke - hated by Selena s family and Vanessa s family. A total loser.

@@madirishgirl76 they were given him his fair share what more he could ask for?the 25% of selena's net income..the two boutiques which unfortunately shut down because he was on the process of divorcing his ex wife who wanted to get the rights on that property..he wasn't able to keep it besides he already moved on Happy with his life have his two kids, other businesses and currently engaged with mjsongstress..what more does he wants?

Her father should never have got him to sign over his share of anything if hers her father done him out of money he was legally entitled to as her husband 2 days after she died her father git him to sign over his rights to her estate. Who does that seriously. Her family should respect him period if they want respect from ppl treat ppl with respect if they want to be treated right treat other ppl as they would like to be treated period its not that f hard to do
