Chris Martin is a great guy, he respects BTS as Artists and as people, he always speaks highly of them. Chris is a beloved friend of BTS, he calls them his younger brothers and especially with Jin who he developed a real special bond which is lovely to see. Chris has already expressed he is looking forward to seeing Jin again upon his return as are the Army who will be there to welcome Jin with open arms, not long to go now ♥️💟🇰🇷🇬🇧

As much as some ppl wanted to see them exempted, the guys of BTS were always going to fulfil their military duties, they have respect and honour for their country, not serving was never the option for them and the backlash would have been too great so wish them all the very best. And to Jin, I'm sure he has grown as a person and learnt so much from being in the military, as they all will, it's been an important experience that he will take with him moving forward but he must feel so happy and relieved that the end is in sight, time has passed so quickly, now the army and his beloved family look forward to having him back home. I hope Jin first takes the time to readjust back to life and not rush back to work. Jin can record his own solo album if he wishes to do, to great success.

You know what I dislike? I hate that JIN has to come home to all the hoopla going on with his management. Now Army is upset with Hybe and is protesting. JIN should be able to return from military duties in peace not with what's going on with the label, ADOR and his Fandom. 🤨 Thanks Dave! 🙏 ❤

As much as BTS loves Army and performing, being in the military was/is a welcome respite from their normal lives. The pressure that these 7 people have been under for the last 10 years must have been extremely stressful. I feel that the only time they really felt alive was at their concerts where they could 'blow off steam' and relax. They are all likeable guys and doing something different with 'ordinary' people will help them grow. I wish for all of them to have a wonderful life.

That is a good way to look at it. I too feel the same way, they have not gotten to do many things that regular people do, this experience will give them more things to write about in their music and more experience with day to day life.

Im so tired if everyone comparing groups.. you cant... And you cant compare injuries.. you arent their dr and not the military!! I served here in USA 🇺🇸 and each individual is judged on their unique basis depending on their injury... Military is strict , don't sit back & assume how someone can just do an office job.. theres more to it... So HAJIMA 🛑🛑🛑 Im VERY VERY proud of our 7 young men, they are AMAZING and forces to be recogned with!!!! But stop judging decisions you dont understand!!!! Borahae 💜💜💜💜💜💜💜

I love Jin...and also I am so proud of the exemplary job he's done while fulfilling his military duties. He's made a great impact on so many of the trainees...and it's good to hear the stories of his kindness and encouragement to the trainees...I too admire also the true humility he's shown as well! I wish him nothing but the best with his upcoming projects!❤

Heck, any of us could cry happy tears over Jin coming home!!!! I'm so excited that I can hardly wait after all these months of missing and now all of them every day. That will be a very precious day to me and all of ARMY for sure!

Jin is counting the days, as are we, it will be a comfort to see his smiling WWH face and listen to his quirky jokes. C.Martin has expressed his fondness for the BTS, and mentioned them during concerts, especially Jin, who was a guest with Astronaut. He apreciates these young men as humans and artists. Language was not a barrier, he tried to learn Korean and had a translator. And Chris as a mature person felt the vibe and aura of these guys even without words. It must be awesome when your teenage idol treats you with respect as equal and wants to make music with you.

I think enlisting was a good choice, even though this may be a hard time for them. They will come back with a new motivation, new ideas, experiences that make them grow and evolve, good or bad. BTS will change and try new things and it will all be good. 💜

@@RoseHunt-li7df there’s exemptions. athletes and artists can get exemptions if they are seen to have promoted national prestige, for example by winning certain international or national awards, an Olympic medal or a gold medal at the Asian Games. And now gamers are being considered for exemption which is infuriating. The “BTS law” extended the time to age 30 to enlist for everyone else. A few K-pop idols have received exemptions, one very recently who had a bad injury, surgery and pt. But is now walking and dancing just fine. Yoongi never tried for exemption even with his bad shoulder and surgery. He and all the members of BTS always said they’d go.

I'm really not sure that Suga would have wanted to be exempt like Scoups. He seems to me to be the type of person that would have wanted to be a part of the enlistment as all his BTS brothers are. Its unfortunate that people are hating on Seventeen, actually you probably don't have much of a say when it comes to enlistment as it is all dependant on fitness. Maybe Scoups could do similar to Suga but no one really knows the extent of his injury. Looking forward to Jins return😊💜💜💜💜💜💜💜

I think Chris Martin was very sad because South Korea still has mandatory enlistment. Perhaps he want to Welcome Jin Home from the military and possibly party with him. After all the rest of the members won’t be available. The think they are both great guys. 🌕🎸🎤🎹🎼

Fine. Let the whole K-pop industry out of serving their country. IDC. BTS is doing their service as they always said they were going to. Others outside of the industry were asking for K-pop exemptions, not them. I just hope those people don't receive half the hate BTS did just for people wrongly thinking they were looking to avoid their duty.

I'm not discounting Suga's shoulder injury at all, but I believe SCoups had an ACL injury, which is a beast of an injury to come back from and from what I see in clips, he does not participate in a lot of the choreo. However, the Korean gov't should be ashamed of themselves for not exempting BTS when they've done so much for their country. But then the US government drafted Elvis Presley at the height of his career too... I'm just excited to hear RM's new album and seeing what Jin's got planned.💜

Lee Joon Suk the Korean actor had the same injury and still did social service, and actor Lee Min Ho had such a severe leg injury post a car crash that he was in hospital nearly a year and has one leg an inch shorter than they other and he still did social services. Does a bad knee prevent you from performing an office job, really? I understand it means they cannot do active service but just not even social service is a little bit much!

@@justme3538some of the dance moves are not that intense so he can do some of them just not the more intense ones that involve jumping or things like that and any dance moves he does do are probably approved by his Dr first.

@@quietlove12 Yes I am well aware of that and I know Grade 5 gives him an exception but others with the same condition still did social service work. I am aware that they all do basic training as grade 5 indicates he is exempt but will still be called upon by the military in the event of a war so therefore they have to undergo 3 weeks trying.

I never understood the people who pushed BTS to enlist (I assume mostly Korean fans/Netizens), as if it was pre-determined by themselves or fans/observers. Most of the fandom is female. It's therefore hypocritical to sit there and say 'You should enlist because I think you should' when you as a female are never going to be made to. You're never going to face that so STFU and mind your business I say. It is a matter for the members and the government. Have they been treated unfairly by the SK govt? Idk. Will they be rewarded? Idk. There'll probably some kickback going on someplace to facilitate the BTS mechanism in return for them doing their duty, dutifully. Swings and roundabouts. Obviously, Jin's return should be welcomed. It'll be great to see him again.

BTS don't need to oil anything, they are idols, not industrialists. You can be sure that none of BTS' fans "pushed" them into enlisting, although many simply recognized that it was their duty. They knew they would be going and chose when they would enlist. They planned and prepared events to comfort their fans whilst they're away.

What pushed Korea to force enlistment because BTS is a progressive worldwide movement of all ages. The US/KOREA military junta is very conservative.

Jin did say that he will go if they orderd him to do so and they have had it on there mind long before the day they enlisted they have had to do the paperwork snd all to move it forwards a few times and plan and get all other things redy before that. And all this has been talkt about on KZread in a video it's not like you get the paper and you are of next day all at the same time becarse I don't think every camp has on the same day enlistingday for the new 1 that enter the military. If I remember in that video it was told that they have 3 times they can move the date for enlisting and I do think it's in there law writen that men between 18-30 has to do the military. And as I see it even now when they are away they have won a lot of 🏆things that they might not even themself know about. So yhey are still doing good. And those who are mad at 17 they should scream then to the goverment that deside who are doing what service or a service at all and not target the boys who just fill out the paper and goes throug the health check that pinnpoint then sre you fit or not to do it....but No all dum💀 attack the wrong people and goes the wrong way and shows that they are not happy with anything a idol does, when they enlist they should have not been sent of and when someone don't enlist the hell is loose for him bailing out and show of as weak. BTS breaking the boundaires, paving the way, set very high standards for all and a lot is expected from them. They haven't been given any slacks ever. Even though I miss them terribly, I believe they never saw exemption as their option, they have to be an example for all the other idols. I am proud for them, and those who tried to evade military duty,rightfully or not, have it on their own conscience.

In my opinion, whether a person can be exempted or not to military service, the decision will be all to the person involved if he wants to be exempted. I guess, BTS members enlisted because they wanted to be a good example to everyone that even they are that famous people, they know how to abide their government rules.and maybe in a way also, they wanted to experience how to live normally though its in miltary service.im sure all the experiences they got and will still gain, they will treasure and learn from it. Time flies so fast, Jin is coming back very soon and a few months later, Jhope will join us too. A little more time ARMYS and our OT7 will be complete.😘💜💜💜🫰🫰🫰🫶🫶🫶

Jin speaks English very well so I don't see why he would need to have a translator to talk with Chris and as for the stuff going on with seventeen having the types of injuries that they have makes it hard if not impossible to do most of the basic training necessary even with social service like Suga. I mean even he had to do at least three weeks of basic, it also depends on the branch of service they are enlisting for.

Jin knows some English, but to have an actual conversation is very different hence why the translator.

The BTS members as w all Conscripts will be part of the Reserves so could be called back up if there is a war. I would think it would be more likely depending on their job/ specialty while in service and how necessary their expertise to the cause was, ie Jimin or V. They are part of the ROK military, they aren’t just ‘playing war’ for an episode of RUN BTS. They will always be part of the real military. Let us pray that the guys’ presence during this time has more of an influence toward their philosophies and goals with the ones higher up and in control of political situations. That their messages will carry farther and to more impactful places…to those ears that really need to hear what they preach. I believe their is a higher purpose to these selected young men being in the military rubbing shoulders w a wider and different influence globally than they would just as entertainers. Prayers to these White Lighters/ Angels. Maybe they are a new term ….PURPLE LIGHTERS. 💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜

I'd like to say that BTS might also be happy, if their military experience, and the fact that 17's member got an exemption, meant that they were, once again, a jumping point for bringing about change, because (let's face it) kpop musicians rarely gain exemption regardless. It might also be a way of destigmatizing a military exemption for a kpop member, and isn't that what the whole point was? Yes, it's upsetting, and a bit unfair, but it is what it is, as well, and as you said, BTS was not upset about their military service. I rather suspect they were looking forward to it, as a sort of well needed break. It's not a rest period, but a new experience, and something that might bring about something new.

Counting down the day for Jins return! Like always I am on vacation for June 13th one month after my birthday. I am sure Chris Martin will be happy to talk to him when they both get some down time! 💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜

Not all Koreans. Some are exempt.

BTS always decided to enlist whatever happened around them. They've been doing what they really believe in whether it's being accepted by others or not. That's why ARMY will always have their back. But in the seventeen's case, BTS would not want the ARMY to blame anyone being exempted. I know that.

First - I'm so excited that Jin will be home soon! I was very upset when he had to go in, but he's done very well and made us all proud. As for Seventeen, I understand being upset about S.Coups being exempt when Suga wasn't. I don't know the military's reason for this, as it was THEIR decision. S.Coups had planned to go, he wasn't trying to get out of it. He's a very good leader, and he's quite proud of his members and his country. I found this statement concerning S.Coups - "Scoups is actually exempted from military service due to not passing the physical and psychological examination. So he won't be serving in the military." Also, this was the actual statement from Pledis, Seventeen's management, "As per Seventeen’s label, S.Coups will not have to go through his mandatory military service duties. The agency noted, “Due to a rupture of the anterior cruciate ligament in his left knee joint, S.Coups underwent anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction surgery and anterolateral ligament reconstruction surgery.” “Because it was a major surgery, he has been undergoing physical rehabilitation therapy for a long time, starting from last year up until now.” "Due to his ligament injury, he has been classified as ‘Grade 5.’ As per South Korean military law, men in Grade 5 are exempt from mandatory military service during peacetime. In case of a war emergency, they will have to support the military through assistance." I hope this clears up any rumors that S.Coups is just trying not to go and that this was his decision, when it was clearly the military's. God bless all of the troops, Everywhere!

In 2021, Coldplay released a song together with BTS, "My Universe", which is part of Coldplay's album "Music of the Spheres". RM, Suga and J-Hope are credited alongside Coldplay as writers of the song, which has some lyrics in English and some in Korean. So they met in 2021 or maybe 2020, after the pandemic.
