And he must be really good at it, right? I mean he's really close to Halsey, he was the first member from the group that met her baby and I doubt Halsey is proficient in korean, Yoongi has to be good with english at least on a conversational level to be friends with her. And they have to communicate with all the american artists they've collaborated with somehow. Maybe he doesn't show he knows english not only to avoid being another translator for the group, but also because he's not confident enough in his speaking skills but he likely handles the listening and understanding part of the language.

As the best leader of the group, Namjoon has worked hard translating on behalf of his beloved members but they have all improved their English after studying the language, they now understand and can speak it very well, so in interviews Namjoon doesn't translate as much as he used to do at the beginning

Exactly! Like even if you know the languages it isn't easy translating it and or delivering the message. It needs a lot of practice to master it completely

Namjoon has such an important role in BTS and I don't know many people who recognize his talent. It's not that he's bad at dancing or tone deaf, it's that he pours his heart into each of their performances and that is really admireable. He's the translator, the leader and BTS wouldn't be the same without any of the members, and I can't imagine a better leader than RM.

I didn't know there's such a thing - people not liking him. I'm surprised. I guess they are not his people. It's better to have fewer but true, loyal, and nice fans. As for me, RM is the reason I started to like BTS. He has a bright infectious smile. Also he's incredibly intelligent/smart. I like watching him in "Problematic Man".

In past when Bts used to get lot of hate comments, namjoon used to translate them into positive ones even tho he knew what it meant. My respect for namjoon increases alot 🤌💜

RM has the biggest contribution in popularity of BTS in foreign countries because of his mind blowing English skills , he has always represented his group on behalf of all the members perfectly .There can be no one as good leader as RM fr ❤️. *The fact that RM has learnt English by watching F.R.I.E.N.D.S series and here's me who don't know anything much than greetings in korean even though I have watched 100+ k-dramas 🗿🤧*

Dont downplay yourself with the dramas. The reason Namjoon knows english is because he had a desire need and want to learn it. You likely had no desire to learn korean which explains why you dont know a single word in it despite watching tons of korean content
