@@GooseInSuit When you realize something worth experiencing stopped being before you were even born, 'you miss it.' Jimmy Roger's died years before I was born. Long after he was gone I happened to be passing on the interstate by the sleepy little town of Caycee. I love that little town. SO tiny. Stopped at a tack shop just to ask about him and turns out the old man was his daddy-in-law. Peg's dad. Also turns out that Chris was co-owner of that little tack shop. I don't know what it was about Chirs. Didn't know even of him til Garth cept maybe hearing his name once or twice in passing growing up. As I'm from the east I never knew him personal and I'll be honest, never even saw a concert. But there was something about him. Just something about him that I admired. He had a certain spirit about him. I know he might have had a few bad guys but seemed like his HEART was just close to the Lord. I think that is what drew me to him. Something just stood out beyond the music that spoke to my gut. I remember even crying a little when I heard of his passing. His daddy in law and I sat in a rocking chair in his little tack shop talking about Chris for probably an hour or two. Peg's dad is a awesome old cowboy. Hope one day to meet Peggy. She had to be a real treasure and it'd be an honor to meet his better half. This is one of the funnest videos I've ever seen. You could tell the guys had uber fun making it. He was unsung for the most part. Except for the ones that connected with him. Don't think anybody will be able to fill those cowboy boots. He was a brand that was only used once and then God hung it up. A true one of a kind. I wish I'd have known him before he passed.
