The part when he said, “I have to remind myself how I feel after.” ... to me that’s everything. We all know what we should and shouldn’t do to look and feel better and we don’t always have the energy or the motivation to do these things. But when you keep in your mind how you look and feel after your efforts.. THAT can make all the difference. No matter what the goal is in whatever area of your life.

The key to getting in shape is the motivation the purpose of it is for yourself you will fail sooner or later if it's for someone else you will have a greater chance of success in chris's case he is doing it for the world to see and he will also be immortalized on film so pretty damn good motivation

I love that all the 'secrets' are the same for weight management/health/muscle. There aren't any. There are optimizations, but it's mostly the work. Heck it's even better than almost everything else: it's straight up more or less a matter of doing X and Y will generally result. That's better than real life: there's not much luck involved unless we're talking genes. And even Arnold Schwarzenegger had to work extra on his calves, for example. But it still came down to just putting in the effort.

I think Chris, like many actors, has somewhat moved away from conventional “bro split” and “bro dieting” techniques in order to achieve a more balanced and sustainable physique. You can see in his training where he has started to shift into more athletic and dynamic movements, and it has coordinated really well into how the character of Thor is moving on screen. Thor looks stronger and more defined and looks like he moved better now than he used too. When he is talking about varying his protein and how it has made him feel and perform that is fascinating. It makes me think he is probably getting a much wider range of nutrients from his new variety of protein sources than he was from a strict chicken and whey bodybuilding diet. Not that those sources are bad because they aren’t, but zeroing in on only a few sources in the diet and abandoning any and all variation puts a person at serious risk of nutrient deficiency. Overcoming these deficiencies is probably why Chris feels so positively about his recent changes.

Tbh getting as jacked as him isn't hard at all. Just consistency. 4 months for results 1 year for great results and 2-3 years for fantastic results. I was a skinny twig and then got chips and beer skinny-fat and got jacked after a couple years of just going to the gym every day. It's not hard at all and it just happens on its own. Your body is a machine and it will carry itself. You'll see.

He'd honestly be pretty foolish to take 'roids. He has a naturally achievable physique with the right time, meal plan and workout routine. Taking 'roids and all the side-effects that come with it just to put on muscle faster; pretty damn foolish. You're bloody Chris Hemsworth into like his 3rd+ big film, just tell them you need an extra 5-10 months if necessary and do it naturally. Besides, all these 'roid hecklers don't get that he'd still have to eat right, workout hard, sleep well and do all that other jazz they probably lack the discipline to pull off. It's not just "Inject 'roids and become lean beast in 2 months" rofl.

I eat whatever i want basically on a bulk then you diet to lean out. You literally know nothing about body building lol. 6k calories a day for the bulk season. I see dumbasses on diets trying to build abs. you have to sacrifice a 6 pack for a 4 pack for however long you want to bulk then you lean out. It takes eons more than just going to a gym and pushing around weights. You have to run a calorie, and carb surplus to build muscle that is a fact. No one on the face of the planet eats salads, and diets to build muscle genius it just doesnt work.

It's possible absolutely, I am 6'4", 210 pounds all year with 14% fat. I jog 3 days a week and do strength training/toning for 4 - 5 days ( at home) fatty Indian diet, result- good enough size and half decent shape as chris. Imagine Chris taking supplements like creatinine and other stuff (not roids) and having a world class trainer, dieticians, chefs AND God gifted genetics, it doesn't look far away from where he is, he ain't too big, he's like 220 pounds and only gained about 20 pounds, he got 6 months to 1 yr for his roles.

But he doesn't show any roid signs, read this further aretheyonsteroids.com/did-chris-hemsworth-take-steroids-for-thor/ Also, check him out before he joined movies, he was already jacked without lifting, genetics determine a lot in bodybuilding, I am a meso major and I struggle to gain extreme fat or get below 205, even If I am bone thin I will still be 200 pounds and I was at the age of 16 itself.

ROFL, gtfo... He doesn't remotely have an unnatural physique. He'd honestly be stupid to take 'roids in order to look like that. All he'd be doing is taking a shortcut in terms of his rate of muscle gain but the actual physique is perfectly achievable naturally. You've never seen a bloody 'roid user if you think that's what they look like. Believe me, they look freaky like Arnold did back in the day. Like, just unnaturally big... Hemsworth is not that. He's just some tall, lean dude with decent muscle mass.

People are saying he takes steroid. Yeah, sure, why not? He's an actor. Not a professional athlete. Steroid is looked down upon in sports because it's considered cheating since it gives you an advantage over others. He has a super buff image of his character that he needs to maintain. If steroid helps, then it helps. Also keep in mind that he needs to maintain this image for up to a decade or more. Same goes for Hugh Jackman for Wolverine, or even Christian Bale for Batman.

really? that's what you got from this? LISTEN to what he said. "inject a bit of vegan cooking into the program give give my body a break from animal proteins from putting on muscle" all this means is he's eating more veggies and fruits and less meat. incorporating vegan cooking doesn't make him vegan... not when he still eats meat, just less. And what that means is if you want to build muscle, animal protein is the way to go, after he got the muscles, vegan cooking just gives him a good balanced diet, while still eating meat.

seriously? it's called BALANCE! only eating meat or eating mostly meat is bad, you gotta have your veggies and fruits, AND VICE VERSA! anyone who knows anything about a balanced diet knows this. Also he said he "injected some vegan cooking into the program" he didn't say he switched to vegan and he never mentioned about plant based protein. He said to have a break from animal protein because he needed animal protein to build muscle, now he can eat a more balanced healthy diet. meaning veggies AND meat.

Zimba's Doom Corner You idiots don't understand how roids work... you can be the leanest guy there is, and be high on gear. The idea is that roids increase, among other things, the percentage of muscle mass in your body mass. Meaning you can be lean as shit, if you are really shredded, and still have muscles, you are probably on gear. And the time he needed to achieve this... people who hit their top struggle to gain 10 lbs under 5 years naturally. He gained ON TOP OF THE ALREADY EXISTING MASS 20 lbs in 6 months(!!!!)! So yeah, he is bigger than the first time he was Thor.

You are not going to convince me Chris didn't take steroids. You're really going to tell me I will have Thor's body if I work out twice a day, 6 days a week while eating 6000 calories of chicken, broccoli, and brown rice for 6 months??? No one needs to work out this much and no one needs 6000 calories. That's called overtraining and obesity.

No one is saying it's impossible to attain his physique. The speed at which he changes his body is what makes everything suspect. Their are millions of guys who work out more and take it much more seriously than Chris but none of them have the body he has or the muscle mass because he is obviously supplementing with something. Do people honestly think that Chris is the only guy in the world who works out 6x a week and eats a healthy diet? Millions of guys do except they aren't on roids. So they look flat but are probably much stronger.

  • @ajaxaceofaces

    @ajaxaceofaces

Pete The answer is genetics. You don’t always have to have supplements. Most people won’t tell you this but genetics play a heavy role, about as important as diet. It can determine how you build muscle, the speed of which it is built and maintained and how you even gain or lose fat and at what speeds.

No short secret other than steroids. No discredit to his hard work but you can see the difference in his lean muscle mass during the training versus the unrealistic, bulging, veiny physique he has in the actual film. You can't just achieve that overnight. It takes YEARS for the human body to get anywhere close to that level and even then it's unlikely. Arnold looked about as big in Predator and he was on anabolics. The real give away though is how he immediately shrinks back down to normal size between Marvel movies. Hell, in that Ron Howard movie he did, he's borderline anorexic. Then he immediately turns around and is as big as Arnold was during his steroid heyday. It's cycling at its most obvious

Darknal 627 incorrect. Look at the movie Vacation for example - that's his body off cycle. It's just transparent that he uses drugs.

Logan You cannot regain that much muscle overnight due to muscle memory. Muscle memory makes it easier to get back to where you once were, but it still takes the human body - naturally - years to gain pounds and pounds of muscle mass. It's just science.
