His father doubted him, his brother past away, lost big fights and written off by pundits. I think he deserves all the credit for this win. Also never gloated or rubbed it when his hand was raised or in the post fight press conference. Maybe seeing a different side to him.

U didn't have a clue who he is BACK THEN, and you don't know him NOW. Who the fuck are you to judge a total stranger? OR ANYONE for that matter? Great minds talk of ideas. Average minds talk about current events and affairs of history. SMALL MINDS talk about people.

Chris has always been this way it’s not a different side, he’s a straight up guy and only gets nasty when he’s attacked he never goes after people for no reason, that’s why he says he’s been posed as the bad guy when he’s not but will be that if that’s what the public wants

It’s crazy too cause Chris said in the face off “when I win you won’t see me celebrate” and that’s exactly what happened. When the ref stepped in he was ice cold.

TG even said he should fight in misfits basically saying he’s not good enough to fight pros and he came back won DOMINANTLY and celebrated in such a stoic manner and gave Liam his props after.

It’s been something I’ve wanted to try for years now, and feel I’m at a point in my life where I need to try it (not depressed or anything just lacking vision) Was just crazy to see a guy that I’ve never heard of before twice in the same day, can’t help but think it’s the universe way of telling me to go and do it

His back foot counter punching has always been his best asset. Walking forward not so much look at Saunders and Groves. Smith was perfect for him stylistically, even the first fight showed it because he did win the first 3 rounds, just got caught with a naughty uppercut. Look at the Yildirim and Blackwell fights, how he sets them up on his back foot before the finish.

Fair play to Chris. As you said Brian, true gent in defeat, and in victory. I think there is room for a trilogy, but Smith is 35, and Eubank slightly younger. I personally believe, if he wants a world title, he needs to move on from Benn, Brook, or GGG, as they seem a bit pointless, and aim for one of the champions. Might need the GGG fight to get there though. Although GGG is way past his best, beating him would line him up for at least a shot at the title's. Tough fight for Chris though that imo.

I don't think his road has been easier due to who his father is. Yeah, you've got a name that opens doors, but we act like anyone is willing to walk through those doors, most of us aren't. He's got in with people who've been so many levels above him in terms of attributes aside from will, fitness and determination, it's almost inconceivable. Real, proven, quality amateur pedigree. He's learned on the job. He's always been up for a tear up and leaves all of himself in the ring. He's a fighter, as a purist I've picked holes in his work from the beginning, but hold your feet with him, have a trade off and I don't care who you are, you are in a fucking fight. The kid hangs his nuts out there. He's earnt my respect.

Smith went 9 rounds with Canello then lost EVERY round in his fight with Eubank, and hardly threw a punch. He was very clearly carrying an injury from camp or had severe issues during his weight cut. Either way, he flattered Eubank that night. A case of Eubank having the best fight of his career and Smith having the worst.

Eubank looked great but how much of that was Smith falling to bits? This will stoke his ego & he'll lose within a fight or 2. Anyone ever seen Smith with an extra 42lb?
