"Scream" is just another example of an artist doing something new, and the average old school fan blasting them because they aren't putting out the same stuff they have put out for the last 10 albums. I hate it when music fans constanly try to keep an artist in a well defined predictable box! It shows how simple minded they are. If anyone else had come out with this music, then it would have been accepted & embraced.. but Chris Cornell? "He shouldn't sound like this!" That is so stupid to think!

That's why I no longer believe in bands... only albums. In my mind it frees up the artist to do whatever he wants, and I'm free to like it or not like it, but not to tell him he is wrong! People are so afraid to NOT like what an artist does if they have liked them for so long, because they then believe that some how they have been wrong all this time for ever liking them to begin with... Not so. It's called freedom... learn it... live it... love it!!

They had great names (and it's rare) with significant and simple meaning (thanks to Chris) and amazing songs that sounded like no one else. I would love your input on the first video of my first album. It got the attention of one of my heroes Joe Bouchard (ex bass player founding members of BÖC) who is following us on Soundcloud but returns from people who likes same music is always the best. @@merlepatterson Well, I did have Kevin Martin. But I meant just that movement, the early 1990's 'grunge' scene. Pop had lost is flair, no more Frank and Dean. It was boy bands and teeny boppers with their bland, highly trained church choir voices or metal with their screamers and grunters. But the grunge movement bucked those trends and brought back real rock singers, voices with style and substance. The 90s were as good for music as the 80s were bad for it.

@@camyg275 There ain't gonna be an investigation because there was no death, he was forced to retire!! Get it? Faked death complete with a body double, apparently.

Scream is an amazing album start to finish. If you think it's not your think, start at song 6. Every time you play it, start at song 6 until the whole album becomes brilliant. And it will.

First off, awesome performance! Secondly, I love how most of the rest of the band is used for the backup vocals and it's not just playback.

If Chris was my husband I would have cherised him every moment of my life. Such a beautiful, talented, giving person.. he deserved a lot better. Justice for Chris..let the truth be told. God strike down vengeance on the snakes and/or demons who played a hand in Chris' "suicide".... AMEN

People gave it shit because it was first on a One Tree Hill episode. That brought a bunch of "teeny boppers" into his music and those kids didn't understand Sound garden, Audioslave, Temple of the Dog.... I didn't get it. I still have the cassettes I bought in the 90s that I had to spend a month grass cutting wages to buy. He didn't release this under those bands anyways. I've been a fan since the 90s and that includes this.
