When I graduated high school, my friends took a road trip to watch some pro comp in Dallas the day I walked for my diploma. My friend called me and when I answered it was Cole! I spoke to him over the phone and he congratulated me for graduating and I was congratulating him for winning. This was in ‘06. I have a pic and a Zero poster with the Zero Team signatures saying congrats. It was pretty cool even though I was not there.
Chris Cole will always been in my top fav skaters. hes such a humble dude and a gnarly skater. what a time for a skaters to be a alive to see the legends now.
I'm so glad Chris Cole is getting the recognition he deserves. There was a time where skate fans didn't really appreciate his work and only knew him as the older dude who competed in SLS. But the pro skaters from around the SLS and the streets started to say Chris is one of the all time best. After all the small videos talking about Chris, his legacy was finally widespread. You know a dude is great when his fellow pros and retired pros alike say he's one of the best
Chris cole has been my favorite skater for about 15 years. It is amazing that he is still progressing after that long.
im gonna go skate now

This is why he doesn't win contests, Nyjah Huston does all the same tricks and gets all the points and Chris Cole is out there trying crazy badass stuff

Any pro skater would tell you that Nyjah is one of the gnarliest out there. He plays the game of winning contests though when he's in them and you can't blame him for that. But that's not to say that he doesn't contribute to the progression of skateboarding. Also, remember Nyjah's frontside smith in Munich? Never landed it but that was a huge risk to try in contest. Most people wouldn't try that outside of contest.
i had basically started skating like 3 months before and i was with a few good friends at a spot in Finland (yes Finland) and he and other pros show up and we got gear and shit from them, he has been my fav skater ever since, still watch a part from him every now and then even tho i dont really skate anymore.

Chris cole always seemed like such a humble nice dude
I like how danny way gave his two cents on chris...apparently the game DOES recognize game after seeing that
I remember watching Cole's BATB 2 part versus Valley and just being blown away that he beat Valley in freestyle. Easily one of my favorite Cole moments. Always pushing the boundaries.
Cole's an absolute legend!

Love me some Chris Cole
One of the best ever!!!
Chris cole is legend. He’s great at commentary as well!
Chris is a beast. Chris is a legend!
Stoked on that one cole a beast
I gotta agree with Wes, back in the days that kickflip bs noseblunt down the rail is so sick I still remembered it to this day, probably the first ever trick done at that time.
Amazing. Thanks much for this short, guys. So nice to eat breakfast and watch this before I head to work. Beats watching 411 #27 over and over on VHS like back in the day, all though that was cool too. Lol
So much Cole footage lately, Getting me anxious
Fav skater
One of the best in the game!!
One of the best of all time
Chris cole is one of my favorite skaters
Legend
Well said boys, bringing me back to my “got pop”/“fliptrick days”! I appreciate cole, Berra, etc. well done, stoked on this, makes my ankles feel better....:)
This video made me feel proud cos i did a nollie heel on a eurogap in the new local park, i was the first one
Here’s to Cole!!!
What a legend!
Someone in my local skate shop's video in 2007 skated to this song, Black Angels - Black Grease
chris cole is probably the all around best skater ever. he's so solid and consistant. he's not human lol
It’s tough to really put into words just how fucking good this dude is.
Solid!
I remeber that back 80 grind to big heel out that Berra is talking about. That trick dropped my jaw
The GOAT!
Awesome!!!
I'm serious. I grew up in the 00's dropping my jaw at this guy's parts and I am still to see his face. I haven't yet.
Wes Kramer has the crazy swellbow. And right now I’m riding the Zero deck with the scull shown right after they show Wes and his swellbow
Wow amazing
So damn great! He is the living definition of what it takes to become one of the greatest. What it takes to accomplish anything and everything, because it all comes down to your attitude, your mindset, your willingness to work and dedicate yourself to your passion and reach for it. The time, patience, determination, persistance and selfbelief to just go for it. To bypass all the naysayers, those that falsely boil everything down to naturaltalent. Which is just a debunked myth and excuse that takes away from all the hardwork and effort needed to excell. Believe in yourself, go for it and reach your dreams. The worlds respect to Chris the Cobra Cole!
NBD!
He's probably one of the most prolific skaters of all time top 5 defo
I remember skating this gap at the Walmart in fairless hills PA around 95. Little kid comes skating through and tre flipped it. Landed bolts and just kept skating out the other side of the parking lot. Never looked back, just kept pushing. My friend bob said “that’s that Chris Cole kid”. He was probably like 13-14 at that time.
181 dislikes is 181 people that don't love skating! Chris Cole is a monster and his impact on skating will forever be well documented.
Patinador favorito de todos los tiempos 🔥
he's one of the best in my opinion.
Chris Cole is in the All Time Top 10 fore sure!!!!! Remember the King of The Road where he brought more than half the points to his winning team all by himself? Flip back nose blunt on a handrail... damn...!
Liked befor watching chris chole awesome
THE BOSS.
He literally just released a full minute of nbd's a couple weeks ago, dudes insane!
Chris is history about skate, and he is alive.
Chris Cole is the definition of Underground
I will always remember Chris cole as that dude that did frontside board 360 flip out (or was it counted as 270 flip out? ) at one of the Tampa Am back in the day. *that sounded really old.."back in the day" 😅😅😅
I dont think many people know the size of this man either. When I used to skate with him in person at my stumbly height and weight, its absolutely remarkable the control he has at his size, that alone is a NEVER BEEN DONE and never will be!!
Bs 180 nose grind big heel. For his Ride the Sky opener always blows my mind
Recién lo veo haha Una máquina Chris Cole!!!

A lot of people forget Cole back 3'd LOVE twice! He did it once and only shot one angle of it so Cheif sent him back to get a second angle.
TY
Those last words were great
I just met Chris Cole at pan era today. So crazy. Like no way you're a legend in my work place here's two soda cups on me man. . today I met and shook Chris Coles hand and did the knuckles pound. I met Chris Cole today no one knew or recognizes him I did I went up and said do u happen to be Chris cole. And that mad me day till he took off without my autograph or a picture like he said. Bummed but I shook a legends hand today.
his 411VM part to "Common's - The Light" was the shit!!
You missed one of my favorites. The switch 360 fs flip off the loading dock ramp is so hard to even think about doing.
Good skaters aren't made by NBD's but thats how fucking legends are made and Chris Cole will go down as a legend in skateboarding.
Good 👍
3:39 i remember being A kid watching the blonde guy tre flip the set , chris cole legend
He deserves to go down as the best street skater in history

@@brokenwave6125 Rodney is my favorite skateboarder, but he did not invent modern street skating; far from it. He was a freestyle wunderkind in the early '80s who eventually adapted to the growing trend of street skating, but I'd say Andrew Reynolds is more of a godfather to the prototypical modern street skater, and Eric Koston is probably the best in history to this point. Cole even referred to Koston as the GOAT after Yuto won SLS '19 Huntington Beach.

I doubt we can ever consider a best ever. Maybe a top 5 every decade. He's definitely on that list in the 00s and 10s.
@MaynardOwns
5 жыл бұрын
@@hugehairyfetus I recently saw someone argue that Rodney had nothing to do with modern skating. Oh man the comments directed at him we're ruthless. I mean the kickflip hands down is the most Important trick. I'm not sure boards would have changed as much as they have with out it. Also the impossible. He didn't name it but he did it first. Willing to bet he was doing kickflip shuvits very soon after the kickflip which would have lead to the 360 flip. Sure he wasn't doing massive front side flips down massive gaps or doing Bs smiths down 25 set rails but skating wouldn't be where it is today if he didn't skate. I know for a fact someone else would have eventually came up with these tricks but I think it was so important ot happened when it happened
Now thats a fucking DEDICATION
I skated in the days before Internet and the days of video cassette tapes! My god.. I feel old now, but I remember liking Chris Cole as well as daewon song,Mullen and so many other great skaters all doing it for the love and not the fame or money, but always getting ripped cause I liked Cole. I'm glad he's finally getting his dues! Screw you 16 year old friends of mine :D
G.O.A.T. in my opinion
His first trick in Ride the Sky I spit my beer on my monitor when I seen it.. and it didnt let up the entire time
Wes has the gnarliest swelbo
I think Chris Coles style is funny, its so perfect its unreal; its almost like he is in a video game
he's a monster.
inspiration..... fuck yea.... this is why I skate
I forget the exact title of the skate contest....Beast of the East or something like that. Hosted by this black dude Eric Monroe in Philly, NY, and NJ- truly a great supporter of local skating... Long story short, I skated against Chris Cole in 1998 at Toms River Skatepark in New Jersey, and no joke, over the pyramid hip for his last trick in his run, Chris Cole did a hardflip late flip. He also did a nollie hardflip late bs 180, as well as a kick flip late shuv. In 2019 that sounds like just another instagram clip- but back then it was insane.
His Ride the Sky part I think it was? I remember when that came out. That was a game changer
I like his fakie nose blunt slide the hard way on that bench in the school yard. Creativity sick thought.
YES! now do reynolds one please
I was lucky enough to see Cole come up as a skater as I was coming up in BMX. His old nickname was Cole-Tang. He liked Wu-Tang. 😆
I have his signature shoe and his signature deck... he is a LEGEND!!!
Wow great video ! :)
Chris Cole has the best posture ever.
I never realized how many of my favorite pro skaters have blue eyes. What a world.
2:34 look how far past the last stair he lands. could have added another block haha. damn
