Chow Chow Puppy Comes Home! Mochi's First Day | Teddy Bear Dog

Today I pick up Mochi, an extremely cute 9 week old Chow Chow puppy. Chow chows are a distinctive-looking dog breed that have a proud, independent spirit that some describe as catlike. They can be aloof and downright suspicious of strangers. But for the right person, he’s a fiercely loyal companion. When choosing, we had an option of either Mochi or her brother, but we opted for Mochi as she won her hearts. Her brother was a lighter brown colour.
I have never owned a dog before so this who experience was emotional as well as uncertain. You can definitely tell by the way I carry her. She is so small and precious! So afraid of hurting her. When we picked up supplies from petsmart, we had countless people come up to us and say how cute she is. I don't know if I can get used to all this attention to be honest haha.
At home, we give her a quick wipe down and start training her to accept brushing teeth and getting combed by a grooming brush. I plan on doing this every night to get her accustomed. Brushing her teeth was a struggle. She kept squirming back and fourth and eventually just wouldn't let us get the brush near her mouth. She tolerated the grooming brush a lot more but still fought her way to freedom whenever possible. This puppy is so adorable when she sleeps! I love you, Mochi!

Chris Leung Hi Chris, we found this breeder from kijiji. He doesn't have a website or anything.
her ears should be erect by now. anyway, it may later on. otherwise its a breed fault from chow standard, then have it replaced by the breeder. Also, is your puppy registered?

Thanks for the tips! unfortunately it's 2 years too late haha. Nothing we can do now but will definitely do a better job in selecting for the next dog!
