    Watched your first video on the niche topic and Miles you're great at explaining how to find your niche. Most focus on the money only and it takes the flavor out of doing business. Who wants to sit in front of their computer all day and be bored to death hoping for sales to come in. Narrowing down is where it's at. Thanks for taking the time to do these videos.

    Those first months or years of all that work and no results are challenging on a deeply internal level... Keeping motivation and momentum through those times is the real 'trick'... Why being passionate about the niche is so powerful. Helps make sure you will stay interested no matter what the results are showing, and when you keep pushing for long enough... BOOM you reach the tipping point and there are still challenges, but the results come POURING in.

    Hey Miles, first off, thank you for putting out such rich and valuable content. It is clear you do this out of passion for those of us trying to venture out into the internet marketing world and it shows in your enthusiasm. So my expertise is in the fitness niche, particularly weight/strength training, but I want to blend it with the addiction and recovery niche, since fitness is what helped me break out of my addictions. It truly changed my life and I know I can help others. My question. Do I focus on the fitness niche in weightlifting where most of my expertise lies and narrow that down to further to, say, guys under 35 looking to build muscle, or do I target, let's say men and women who are dealing with substance abuse and offer my expertise in exercise as the solution and give them my story plus relevant information to get them started??? Also, if I chose to target substance abusers, will most of my content therefore have to be about substance abuse, or will I still be able to focus on weightlifting which is my passion? I know I need to take action, and this has my biggest excuse, but I truly feel stuck. Any insight would be greatly appreciated

    First, I want to say thanks for putting this info. on youtube. I've been trying to figure this out and your videos finally helped me to understand this better. I do have a question as well, if I'm in a health & wellness MLM that I want to promote, do I need to pick a niche that relates to my products? I'm asking b/c I would like to target either working mom who would like to work from home, or how to help internet marketers grow their business online, but neither of those relate to my health & wellness MLM. I get the concept, just not sure how to tie it all into my MLM. Thanks.

  • @MilesB

    @MilesB

    7 жыл бұрын

    MLM is very difficult because of the fact that every MLM business… Regardless of the product… Is an "make money opportunity" Competing with not only every other MLM, but other Internet marketing training systems, drop shipping biz ops, etc. NLMs have it even more difficult because your "product" has nothing to do with your "product"... Meaning the health and wellness stuff has nothing to do with the biz op. If you simply want to help people make more money… Why are you promoting something in the health and wellness space? Why not promote a pure make money online program? The reason I'm asking these questions is because I think there might be a reason why you chose this health and wellness company beyond the opportunity. If you really figure that out and build a story around why this opportunity is the only opportunity that matters to you… You have the start of an attractive character story. From there, you can figure out who would resonate with your story and target them as your customer avatar. It's totally doable,, but extra difficult for you because there is a confusing gap between the product and the opportunity… Combined with a lot of negative feedback at a global level… And I think your best bet is to get people who love the product and need to share the product because it's impacted their life in such a positive way.

  • @MilesB

    Yes, the goal is to get to his deep of a niche as you can... A random example would be the dating niche… Dating for women, dating for Christian women, dating for Christian women who are divorced, dating for Christian women who are divorced with children. When you get down to that low sub niche you are able to speak so clearly to that person, their situation, their needs, their goals, etc. they feel like "they understand me" take that random example and apply it to the investing niche and the same is true

  • @MilesB

    Glenn... Thanks for the kind words. I think your niche is indeed well focused. Have you heard of 'Wake Up Warrior" give him a google... Personal development training for married business men. He has built a 7 figure business in that niche, so good proof that it is possible. You can take the slant towards fathers, or the slant towards "Not being a boot-camp drill sergeant" like the warrior guy does. When guys have kids, they change a bit and their heart opens, whether they are ready or not... And I would be willing to bet that many dads would be willing to do whatever it takes to be a better dad and give their child a great upbringing... I would browse around Amazon Kindle's best sellers list and see what books/authors are out there in the space too, then find their sites and get a 'lay of the land'. Also, the reviews on Amazon (5 star and 1 star) are gold because they tell you what paying customers like and hate about a product/info... You can build entire products based on what people say they love and hate in reviews on Amazon.

    Hi Miles. I've only just started following you on KZread, loving your videos. Is soccer something I could realistically make as my niches? Thanks Dave from the UK 🇬🇧

  • @MilesB

    @MilesB

    6 жыл бұрын

    of course you can David. The trick is to niche down enough to where you lower the amount of competition. so what is a sub category within football that you love…? Sports betting? is there a specific team that you're just a rabid fan of that you love to do a podcast about? did you play at University? can you teach fitness for football players? can you teach young kids how to be better at football to get into Uni? Find an audience within the subset of football who you can help… And remember that just talking about your favorite team can be helpful, too. That's why sports radio has been so successful over the years, but now you and I have access to the same media that the big corporations use… So it's all about being more helpful than anyone else

    Miles, I am creating a How-To product for expats in China. However, there doesn't seem to be a lot, if any products that are similar to what I will be offering. There are expat sites that get exceptional traffic, but they are all news related, not how-to related. I've done niche research and it all tells me that this market is too small, but I know there is a huge problem for expats which my product will help solve. I've created a sample (MVP) and a handful of people who saw it, said this content is awesome and useful. This market is also growing as more students come to study abroad. So, I am torn - Could my market be so niche that seriously no one is doing FB Ads direct selling sales funnels so I should do it? Or, if no one is doing it, should i take this as a sign and stop wasting time? Thanks for the content Miles. You've taught me a lot.

  • @MilesB

    My big question for you is what is the situation of Facebook like in China? Is it censored? That would be my biggest concern! You honestly have to do a real test. Run a minimum viable funnel to cold traffic.... No asking friends or family members what they think you need people who don't know you and don't care about you to see the ads and have the opportunity to pull out their credit card because that's the data that is most important

  • @christophermarzoq9462

    @christophermarzoq9462

    Thanks for the response Miles. Facebook is censored and is something to think about it. Most all expats do use a VPN to access their Facebook, but maybe the frequency of being online is less. I might have to consider targeting the users before coming to China while still in their home country. I will run some tests and start building out a funnel. Thanks again!

    If the expats use a VPN, Facebook won't know they are actually in China. Try looking for something that expats will use once they reach China, like a travel app? or maybe advertise on China's website for expats?
