Ok i am not the flipper i wish i could be....but anyhow, you convinced me about high speed and using rod more to pull fish.

I agree with you on the heavy rod and pulling the fish towards the boat using the real to take up slack.

Great explanation. There is one thing though that I do do. I use the slowest reel I own, 6.3 to 1, to slow roll swim baits and spinner baits on the bottom.

I typically just use a fast reel on spinning gear. The bigger spool the more line it picks up so I like a 3500 size.
Worried about is 70 Custer could you use that for ripping
