Another question I've seen 2 versions. The lid that holds the plastic form to be shaped.....sit flat direct on box or larger opening to push down below the puck and around d the outside of the box????

ye the ones you see that the plastic sits on the box and the plastic is usually heated by ceramic heaters in an overhead box that slides on rails so that the puck can be raised from below are usually professional industrial formers these systems don't have an air tank so the puck is raised on the bed and seals when the plastic has been pulled around only leaving a little air to be vacuumed out an internal vacuum pump sucks the plastic tight when cool they often have a facility to blow a little air back between the plastic and the puck helping it to release the type that has a frame that holds the plastic then pulled own around the wooden base on large format systems this can be useful to make adjustable sized frames so you can set the frame to the size of the interchangeable bed you are using then when the plastic is pushed down it seals on the edge of the bed again mostly industrial

@@michaelgreenhouse2044 I built mine with a gasket on top of box and the frame that holds the plastic will sit on top of the gasket. Hope it works! I'm building the plastic framing now. The vacuum box is complete and tested it yesterday. I did as you suggested and put the pegboard style holes in and it worked great with paper! Thanks! Hopefully tomorrow I can test the forming on something small before I start on my project. Thank you again for answering. Out of 10 send outs your the only one to help me! Your my hero! 🤣🤣🤣
