When you work with dough for a while (or any cuttable scoopable product) you get really good at it. I've been a baker, and it just happens. Also I've been a butcher, and same can be said for ground meat - I can scoop within a couple ounces of a pound without thinking about it.

Paul would have docked her for underbaking the loaf. He might not have even eaten it at all. It would be mortifying. A digital thermometer makes it easy to know if the loaf is done inside. 190f for most breads that I bake yields an interior that is moist but cooked.

As soon as she held up that gooey bite, I immediately thought, "we just lost Emmy to the realm of chocolate" lol. If this recipe is even half as good as pain au chocolat, I'd be in heaven!

I've been toying with the idea of making bread and I think you convinced me.😊 My mom used to make fresh baked bread and your right there's nothing better than the smell of home made bread baking in the oven. And then fresh out of the oven with butter on it.... heaven!😋

In some other contries, skeins of yarn are just called wool, so I would assume that's what this bread it named after. It does look like a bunch of skeins of yarn together.

I *love* to see Emmy so very happy! What indulgent and luscious looking bread. I am delighted to have been eating my own silky dark chocolate while watching.

I'm a beginner wool spinner (i make my own yarn to knit with!) and this bread looks a lot like something called a "rolag" which is a type of wool fiber preparation you can do to prepare it for spinning! such a beautiful loaf and very aptly named!
