It's nice n pleasing to hear two intelligent women discussing the dismal state of women in our society. The women's independence n empowerment issue is much more deep and complicated here. The strong patriarchal traditions tenuously prevailing are deeply embedded in Hadith based sunni religion, shame n guilt based sexuality, economical n political hold in the hands of men. Low education underdevelopment n poverty has further slow down the libration of women rights.
