Thank You it did my headin and pressing button it stopped

I've disconnected the units and tossed them. Now there's chirping coming from the base!! I shut the power off for a few minutes, and it went quiet....for 20 min. Ready for a meltdown!!

I pressed the button multiple times and it Never Stopped so now the fire department showed up and they couldn't figure it out either so I punch it against my door and then they gave me permission to hammer it if it goes off again 😆🙏 it was going off since 5am for No damn reason

If it's hardwired - dontvyou need to turn breaker off-unplug from power then remove battery- ig still connected to wire it still chirps

How I can remove or open the smoke detector (this part you missing). Thank you anyway.

I'm sorry for leaving that out. You should shut off the breaker where power goes into your smoke detector. Just in case of getting a zap if it is hardwired. Then turn the smoke detector counter clockwise to unlatch it from the ceiling, if it's the same type as mine. You can then disconnect the wires and change the battery and re attach.

Mine chirps with a brand new battery ! Now what ?

Mine didn’t chirp it blasted full blast every 30 seconds. God man so annoying

yea I was 10 and a half just got into bed my brother came from the bathroom we shared rooms to he slept a little away from me anyway 15 or smt mins later I heard an alarm it was like 1AM in the morning at first I thought it was in my head so I turned away my brother was older then me so he started screaming because he said in the morning after that he had a nightmare before the alarm and thought I was ded since that day me and my brother never went in that room again nor did we sleep without our mom☠️☠️☠️

Wonderful, when you can reach the fucking things. What do you do when can't reach them?

Broom stick to push the button, chair to stand up on to remove the smoke detector, but a ladder would be more helpful Im sure. Best of luck Toni.
