I switched my chinchillas to fleece and I live it it's a lot easier to clean and much better for they're feet makes the cage look a whole lot better too

I have been watching your videos for years luv your channel so much

I recommend cat trees for jumping. I also have pillows, from an old sofa great for making caves. My chinchillas run around in the living room because I keep an eye on them. But thanks to this they have a lot of fun and have sticks in different places to nibble on. They run from their room to the living room. They love to play tag. They run into the cage on their own and lie down in the house 😊 Now I can see that they are happy and trusting. 🐭🐭

So i just got a chinchilla named emma and we have been haveing a hard time for her to warm up to us and you are such a help so i was wondering if you can give me some tips. We have 2 rescue chins and now their baby. With the exception of their baby it took time for them to bond with us. You have to be patient and she will let you know when she trusts you. I would say, for playtime, let her out in a small space and sit quietly with her. Do not try to grab her but just sit and let her explore. Keep doing this everyday and soon she will be jumping all over you or coming to take treats from you. We only use Oxbow chew toys as we feel they are a bit better for the chins than some of the cheaper toys and chews out there. Our PetSmart usually has a great selection of Oxbow products. For treats we will give them organic oats and organic dried goji berries (all in moderation). Good luck with Emma! Be patient and she will absolutely grow to trust you and create that bond!!

I lost her... My dog tryed to atack. At night while she escaped her cage she ran off the porch cuz he tried to attack and now she's gone forever

Just put less hay and don’t refill it until they eat it all. If you put too much they’ll pull it all out at once, pee on it, and never touch it. So try to give them less each day. It saves a lot☺️💕

Sometimes I’ll let them out for as long as they want and let them go back in the cage on their own, and that’s usually after an hour or so. And other times I’ll let them out for an hour 💕

In general every chinchilla would love an partner unless you notice extreme aggression and territoriality in their past or present 💕

I have always dreamed of having a chinchilla as a pet. I have done a lot of research about them in the past few years! I have 3 pets in my responsibility already, but I have much spare time. I tried negotiating with my parents to get one and my mom thinks that they are good pets, and I can tell they are. Should I keep trying or should I wait a little bit? Keep up the good work! :)

I have two chins boy and girl and the male is turning four on the 18th of jan.hes a big boy

I’ve had my two chinchillas for around a year now, they like to sit on my shoulders and run up and down my legs but don’t let me stroke them. Maybe they just don’t like being pet but do you have any tips on how to let your chins stroke them?

No. Chinchillas have different preferences, and its best you don't attempt to change that, or you may end up loosing your trust. If you don't love them for who they are, you shouldn't have them. NO HATE, JUST ADVICE❤

When you do try to pet them, only try their heads, not their bodies that way they can see your hand more. Also, approach them slowly and gently when you try so they don’t get afraid. Sometimes trying to pet their heads after giving them a treat helps more. If they continue to be scared and hate it, then don’t try for a while 💕

It’s great👍🏻! But don’t you need some stuff on the floor? There is nothing there! 🙄I know it’s easier for you to clean when there is nothing. But when the chinchillas are out playing it’s in an empty environment😥. You should put some stones in there and different levels. Maybe some plants and small hills ect. Another great idea would be a labyrinth with treats or obstacles that would be great🤗🤗. But this is just an idea for your chinchillas so the will get more activated. Because they really needs that so they will not die of boredom in a “small” cage. And this is just and idea for everybody that got animals in cages..get them out if possible and get them activated. Thanks for sharing👍🏻😍

You have to remember that It’s a place a little animal have to live there entire life. ...all there life! Im sure You would be sad too if you had to live in two rooms all your life. Unforutnely that’s only 3 feet, and you’ll need more height than that. I wouldn’t go anything under 4 feet at least 💕

I'm not a chinchilla owner, I'm a bunny (and dog) owner and I FEEL THE SAME WAY! I buy 2 of (almost) everything for the buns! 🤣
