    Dark soy sauce is more salty than “light” soy sauce and gives a richer red colouring to your dish. It’s used more in braising. 👍😋

    Follow the link in his description. 1.5-2 lbs pork belly, cut into 1.5-2″ cubes 3 tbsp rock sugar, crushed (can substitute with white sugar) 3 stalks scallions (white part) 2 bay leaves 2 star anise 2 slices ginger 1/2 tsp sichuan peppercorns, optional 2 tbsp dark soy sauce 2 tbsp shaoxing wine 1 tbsp soy sauce

    @@LolaMay30 they taste like lemon rinds and also have the numbing effect that citrus rinds have aswell. im pretty sure theyre not actually related to peppercorns but instead are related to other citrus fruit which is neat

    It took me forever to cook it. The fat of the meat should be rendered down. Honestly 2 hours to complete from start to finish
