Older quadrunner pads can be a little difficult to get off the caliper. Many makes and models of the Chinese and Japanese brand are the same. Ill show you how

I viewed alot of videos on changing brake pads on a Chinese Quad. Your's was the only one that made the process very clear. One of the hardest parts on a job like this is remembering the exact way and sequence of each part is assembled. Your video left nothing to the imagination. Most of the others quickly skimmed over topics, had their hands in the way of important sequencing, skipped parts because they must have felt "everyone knows that" when they don't. I really appreciated the help.

Really appreciate your comment. Ive trashed a few good videos were my big head got in the way. Some would post it anyway. I know what you mean. Got a wing dinger Im posting in a few days. Putting a new head and cylinder on a 70cc. I think youll like it. You'll learn something just from that one video that the so-called pros are misinforming people to do. Keep an eye out and thanks for your support.

And when the replacement arrives the master cylinder piston stem is very obviously bent. It never ends.

Now I can't get the brakes bled. There is always something. new hose, new master cylinder, new pads. bubbles and bleeds for a bit, pump foot pedal, open bleeder, a few bubbles and fluid, repeat process and it stops. I am guessing it must be a bad master cylinder, ordered a new one. Racking my brain of what I could have done wrong.

Here's a few ways you can try. Fill the cup and open the bleeder and see if it will free flow without pumping (could take a few minutes for this to happen). Keep the cup full and don't let it go dry. After it flows a few seconds tighten the bleeder and see if you have brakes. repeat if not. Another way - you would fill the cup Open the bleeder press the brake slow and easy and before the brake bottoms out close the bleeder without letting off the brake. May have to repeat it a few times. Pumping the system up usually doesn't work well with these. But then you can get bad parts. Good luck

@@CaptFerd We filled the cup, opened the breather and level in the master cylinder always remains the same. As they say, we also closed the breather, pumped the foot brake several times, open the breather, nothing. Even took the caliper off, filled it with brake fluid, did the pumping routine, a couple of bubbles and fluid the first two times and then nothing. Have done the pumping routine over 100 times. New master cylinder due here in a couple minutes. We will see. Just doesn't sound like it should be this difficult.

@@tomcaho54 I know how frustrating it is. I go down that road a lot. Love your determination. You'll fix it.

@@tomcaho54 It shouldn't. I'm a former Class A automotive Honda tech and I've been working on a complete overhaul of one of these little buggers for a neighbour and I've never seen such a poorly designed piece of crap in all my years. Everything on it fights you and replacement parts are completely unreliable. It must have been engineered by a sadist. I had the same problem bleeding mine. Ordering a new master. The caliper bracket should be held in with removable bolts, not those ridiculous pins. Everything is unnecessarily difficult. Good luck to you and thanks @CaptFerd for a great video!
