he and many other chinese video stars receive government support and assistance. the special mention made for hanfu, for example, is exactly what the government wants to hear as part of their nationalist-encouraging projects. of course regular people participate in this stuff, but the ones who get a lot of reach and who are amplified a lot are these government-encouraged ones.

His pleats are perfection and the unique elements he adds, like the pearl beads on the puffed sleeves of the qipao dress and the incredibly unique sleeve cutout (really he clean finished and folded down the shoulder seam, making the lining visible as a contrast). That’s some pretty amazing style sense!

To say it is a "feminine" thing is just a label society put on it. Being able to sew is just an amazing skill. Sadly a lot of men have to hide that they enjoy or are capable of this, just because of what people thought men and women should do years ago, it's ridiculous.

I actually did have a childhood friend who's mum is a tailor & owns her own shop, & she actually says that every time we go shopping! She'd try on the dress / shirt / pants that she likes, take pictures of them, then sends them to her mum. Within the next week, we'd all see her in the exact outfit that she tried in the store. Her mum has made a few dance costumes & dresses for me too, & she's my go-to tailor for any dance costume alterations. I'm always envious of her, & when I was young I used to wish that I had a parent who's like her mum. Now she & her mum have migrated overseas. Really missed hanging out with her.
