Chinese Eggplants and pork stir fry
Ойын-сауық
A savory and spicy Chinese eggplant stir fry with minced pork (魚香茄子) is great to serve with rice. This is a simple and healthier version of Chinese eggplant & ground pork recipe that can be done in 20 minutes!

Looking good! these eggplants are delicious
Just made this.. i made the cut a lil different and added bell peppers instead of chilis cause the grandparents dont so spicy. But the flavor 🔥🔥 thank u for the recipie too bad cant upload pics here
I wanna try
I just made this with 5 eggplants and 1.5 lbs of pork. I scaled up the ingredients and also added 2 tbsp cooking wine, and 2 tbsp Doubanjiang (chili bean paste). I just dumped the starch in as a powder and it worked fine. Recommend lower sodium soy sauce because I feel very thirsty after eating this.

You can try to use tapioca starch instead of corn starch. Tapioca starch is similar, but little different.

You can just let it reduce and thicken on low heat. This might call for some minor changes to the recipe, so taste as you go.

Potato starch is also good. But All purpose flour is in everyone's cardboard. Lol
🥰🥰💞👍
Thanks for the video. I was just worried about your fingers. The way you cut looks like you're about to cut your thumb. Most people tuck their thumb under to protect it.

In this video, I didn't add green onion all at once because I want to get the picture first.
Appreciate the vid but no towel/pad under cutting board, sharp knife & slicing skills?😲

This dish is very flavourful and goes well with steamed rice or congee. Complete meal that is fast to prepare. Good for young children and elderly too. Add half an inch of salted fish (mui heong) will add umami to the dish. Cantonese favourite dish
Serve that in China and you'll be deported. The pieces of eggplant are far too big. We wouldn't use oyster sauce, either. Sesame oil is only ever added after the dish is cooked. It is a condiment oil, not a frying oil. It is valued for its aroma and flavor, both of which are highly volatile and disappear in seconds if heated.

Thank you for your comment. First of all, Cantonese people will add oyster sauce for this dish. If you don't, that's ok. Secondly, sesame oil is generally used as a condiment and added to it after cooking. And, most of the people will do that because of the aroma and fragrance. However, in some recipes like Taiwanese sesame oil chicken and noodles. People will stir fry sesame oil with the chicken and heat up. But, it is recommended to heat up at a low temperature. Also, depending on what and which brand of sesame oil. The one I used is ok to heat up a little bit. If you are worried about adding sesame oil while cooking. I suggest you either not add it or add it after cooking.
