What happened to our mainland cousins from the 1950s - 1970s was a violent lobotomy of their classical values. I hope future mainland generations rediscover the civilizing principles of 规矩, 责任 and 礼. this is just a vital problem of the medical system in china, they got med care but this very hospital had already done with their med care budget so the high ranking officer told the doctor if the family want to have treatment they are gonna have to pay the bill all by theirself or the hospital is gonna cut that part of money from the doctor, so they got a standoff situation, the son was too eager to save his mon so he decided to do something big to save his own mon, so the doctor became the scapegoat. i still remember that there is a saying goes like this when there is no way to go people just got one way to go that will be to commit a crim. after the death of the doctor, this 55yearsold son came back and turn himself to the police and was sentenced to death but at least his mon got treatment, this is just a tragedy. we dont have a law like western counrties if the hospital refuse to treat a dying man is against law. and somehow ourl medcare budget is never enough. we got a very serious systematic problem, really hope we will find a way to work it out, in this case everyone involved was really pathetic. jesus hope god bless china as well

It is pretty much the same in India. Makes me kinda scared cause I'm preparing for my medical entrance exams. I've seen a case where a resident doctor was thrashed by the patient's family for not speaking the same language as them. Pet dogs and cats have a natural tendency to bond closely with humans, so it seems extremely tragic to torture them and skin them alive, and the poor foxes. @@annaalbury7748 Ive found that cultures which teach not to disobey authority or elders eventually do things simply because thats how they have always been done. China in particular is very orientated towards tradition and not disrespecting ones leaders/elders. So now they have an extremely authoritarian government on one side and very superstitious old fashioned traditions on the other, so no matter where they look for guidance its not in touch with the modern planet. Most Chinese dont even understand the concept of washing their hands with soap! Its no wonder they are responsible for so many infectious outbreaks! People in the dark ages used to dump their waste in the streets too...... They paid dearly for that as well. I think China is in for some serious trouble in the very near future.

Grandpa hung him self after months of public scolding and torture (rock pelting, kneeling on broken glass…,etc). I witnessed many of these barbaric acts til late 1961 when my family escaped to Hong Kong. My mom is still traumatized, it hurts the whole family. We’re celebrating our 50th anniversary being American. I thank the USA 24/7 for all the freedom and opportunities it affords us. CCP/Communism is evil, Winston’s videos are powerful witnesses. On the contrary, Chinese American are disgusted by horrendous and shameful behaviors of many living under CCP rule. I guess this is why KZread has finally, after a long time of learning in slowmotion and most definitely not with foresight, made vote count nearly irrelevant for video ratings. For example, RT could make an excellent report on militant feminists yet the video would get massive downvotes. Add water cannons to it and it gets massive upvotes. - Simple people. 😏

You are forgetting one part of the story: how bad the Chinese health system is. The reason why the old woman did not get a hospital bed is that hospitals do not want to admit very old patients because old patients are at a higher risk of dying which will affect their numbers which will result in negative results for the hospital. The only bed they offered was one in the ICU-unit and these are freakishly expensive. It is not strange that people get super frustrated.

I agree with every point you said, I lived in China for a short time, but having ex partner being Chinese, all your stories about doctors receiving money to expect better treatment it's so real. I remember clearly she said that we have to pay to the doctor to ensure that he does well during labour, and also "protect you" from the hospital stealing your newborn. So in China you must be ready to pay extra money to ensure your newborn baby doesn't get abducted by the same hospital staff . It's unbelievable

If you ever lived in China you'd understand, people get this "medicare" like program; but doctors can you with treatments and medication not covered. How do people get covered treatment and medication? By giving them lucky money, I bet you his wife gets plenty; but he won't talk about that. People are pressured to do this, who'd want to give out your hard earned money for the doctor's just to do their job? No ONE EVER. But this dude makes people all seem heartless and ungrateful; which is absolutely not true. And he omits important information from this story, this man's mother was kept in ER for around 20 days (notice how he doesn't mention that information or even give a link to the story), can't fact check him; if he's omitting facts. He also deleted my previous reply, wouldn't want to get caught in a lie.

Wen Du I’m not sure which province you’re talking about, it’s generally not the doctor’s fault that the Chinese ‘medicare’ doesn’t cover certain treatment/medications, and/or doesn’t cover ‘covered’ treatment/medication? First, the central government has already ruled that all drug prices in hospitals should now be set by a central system, which means it’s pretty hard for doctors/hospitals to earn money/commission off selling pharmaceuticals now. Second, in my experience, usually doctors recommend a treatment/medication not covered by ‘Medicare’ because they know the benefits of that drug far outweighs the ‘Medicare’ recommended one. If you want only ‘covered’ treatment/medication, it makes the doctors job far easier, but in the end the adverse effects or therapeutic effects of the recommended drug (often now only produced in China) can be often be far inferior and eventually more costly than a non-covered drug.
