Chinese Bullshido and Kung Fu fakes
Спорт
China has a long history of bullshido and today we will be taking a deep drive on the fake chi masters and the man who is fighting against them. in the mcdojo this time we have xu xiaodong aka the mad dog, tai chi master Lei Lei showing off his chi powers, white monkey jobs, Chinese nationalism, Kung Fu masters taking on a ruby team, shaolin monks doing some crazy training, the many weird and wonderful martial arts of china, fails and fakes plus much more. in this documentary we will take a deep dive into the mad dogs life and some other stuff
the life story of xu xiaodong is a pretty crazy one with Chinese communist party giving him a low social credit score and the whole of china out to get him. I hope you enjoy this documentary

Xu needs to get into one fc and move to singapore or philippines permanently. Northern part of the philippines are home to wrestling fanatics despite wushu being a dominant martial arts in their northern island a lot of wushu practitioners do admit that its more akin to dance routine than real martial arts and prefer to fight with greecko roman style of wrestling. Xu with his body type can be a good wrestler. The lakay gym would definitely take interest in him. That gym at one point in time basically dominated every mma division in asia having produce champions in every division. And with xu's background with striking he could help the gym with his experience as well. In singapore i would reccommend the Lee gym but with the current situation they are in idk if they are still in operation.

I would like to make something clear about Xu Xiaodong. He specifically calls out Tai Chi "masters" as opposed to all Chinese Kung Fu. A little over a year ago a teacher ("master") of Iron Fist uploaded a video of himself to China's version of KZread, when he was drunk claiming that Xu has said things against Iron fist, to which Xu made a calm response video stating that he never said anything against Iron Fist and that his goal was to call out fakes in the Tai Chi community. He also said that if he had ever said anything against Iron fist, to show him and he would apologize. A few days later the Iron Fist practitioner made another video, sober this time, apologizing for what he had said. The reason he targets Tai Chi practitioners is because they rarely even spar with each other, let alone actually against other styles, but they make a lot of bold claims and fake videos like the one you showed. I've been living in China for almost a full decade at this point and watching it unfold has been very interesting.

You wont find many CHinese people who agree with what he is doing simply because they dont believe in getting fame from the humiliation of others, If he believed these people were guilty of something he should have gone about it the right way, humiliating people on social media is never going to go down well in a culture based on respect. As for being fined ect, you would be fined just for going online and calling a restaurant garbage and awful if you worded it wrong, and rightly so if they complained because its not the way to do things. You can complain about your experience in honest terms, but slandering others and making broad statements on your opinions to damage others, nope, not in China.

Honestly if you just want to move around is okay, nobody expects you to actually become a martial artist in one of those schools. Like my parents sent me to one of those schools and for years I simply did pretty normal gym stuff that would end with 20 minutes trying to mimic some moves that looked cool to impress parents, so like when parents come to pick us up we would do round house kicks or cart wheels, but would probably break my back in a real fight. Tai Chi is more or less the same, my grandpa goes everyday to a park just so he can spend time with his pals and they never do anything too tiring, otherwise if someone can’t keep up and leaves the group they would be all sad. Then there are the scammers.
Most Chinese martial arts tend to involve either waiting for your target to cross the road on a pedestrian crossing and then running them over using the ancient traditional oriental weapon that is the automobile. Practitioners may also summon several acolytes wielding baseball bats via cellular phones.

Most people don’t know this, but Bruce Lee pretty much abandoned Wing Chun when he came to America. That’s when he incorporated boxing, wrestling, jujitsu, and other useful martial arts into his arts; he called it Jeet Kune Do which translate to A STYLE WITHOUT A STYLE. He didn’t abandon wing chun when he came to America, it was more around after he fought with Wong Jack Man. Some witnesses of that fight went on to say Bruce was chasing him around trying to chain punch him as Wong ran away. If he did abandon Wing Chun upon his arrival he wouldn’t have been chain punching in that fight. Also JKD doesn’t mean style without style it means way of the intercepting fist. The style without style thing is the philosophy of the art not the translation. Sure Bruce went on record saying Kung fu is a classical or fancy mess but yet he still took pragmatic elements about each Kung fu style he learned about whether it be the wing chun he actually learned from Wong Shun Leung (one of Ip’s disciples), some stuff from mantis (which he learned from Fook Yeung) and perhaps choy li fut (which he gave praise to for being one of the few pragmatic Kung fu styles). Another reason I don’t think he completely abandoned WC is because there’s still JKD schools that teach trapping (which of course isn’t exclusive to JKD and WC) and the fact they still use wooden dummies.

Every person I’ve met who’s trained in Kung fu had a graceful walk, gentle alertness and calm. I don’t know or care about their ability to actually fight. That’s might beef with the movies and fantasies about Kung fu is it did overshadow the really awesome benefits of functional living

While practicing Kuk Sool Woon, a korean martial art that takes inspiration from tribal, military and nobility martial arts from korea and china, my master told me one of his biggest lessons. Martial arts is primarily an art form. He told me also that if he didnt practice that art he would have been a ballet dancer. Let's not be fooled by the assumptions that art is the same as violence because there can be no beauty found in combat. Only carnage.
@chukyuniqul

I disagree. I believe there is beauty in the context of a consensual fight between two people. The contest of physical and mental aptitude between humans, it's a very honest exchange where you can know not only you, but your opponent on a very intimate level.
@TheGirugamesh1000

Well I can go ahead and tell you if that was your mentality or your quote-unquote master's mentality then you have learned an absolutely useless form of martial arts and no it is not for art. Combat is for self-defense and always was and always will be. You don't learn to punch and kick for art and if you do then i guarantee you when a real fight arises you'll be getting your ass kicked. Did Xu's videos teach you anything?

I've always been saying people keep forgetting what the word arts mean in martial arts. If those practitioners treated their arts as something like a competitive form of ballet nobody would have any problems. But when they start bullshiting people that their form of ballet is an effective fighting technique in MMA or even real life street fights, Xu is here to give them a wake up call.

@@chukyuniqulthe problem is that in a real fight that fancy looking stuff doesn’t work. It only works in a ring where everyone’s agreeing to follow a strict set of rules. Kicking and spinning around will just get knocked down and looking foolish in a real fight most of the time.
I already knew this guys story but I think it's kinda important bc it can be very dangerous when someone thinks they can fight or save the day when they can't. I want his story to be seen and heard. The more likes and comments a video gets, the more likely it will be seen by others. Plus as this is my new addiction creator, I just can't get enough!

One day, in China, while out walking, I was approached by a Chinese gentleman, who wanted to try his English. Fairly good by the way. He then told me that I should learn how to do Wushu. I told him that my Wushu was good enough and showed him one of my simple moves, which was too fast for him to act or react, and furthermore was deadly if completed. I no longer needed a Chinese Wushu master.....
@4:30 kungfu masters are NOT treated as celebrities in China. As a matter of fact, kung fu masters in Chinese society is considered of low socio-economic class; they may be treated as celebrities in the martial arts & entertainment world but NOT in the rest of Chinese society.
Hope Xu is doing well, I appreciate him being real and all that, but I would like for him to be ALIVE for a bit longer, 50 more years sounds like a good amount, and being real in China is essentially a death sentence, unfortunately
Those Shaolin nut checkers got me screaming in the office 😂 I heard that the government made him paint his face to mock him, it wasn't a disguise like you say in the video

As a classical practitioner of Chinese martial arts, I get disgusted by these guys living in fantasy land and getting their asses beat. Every martial art in the world has one thing in common, you have to train hard and get your ass beat a lot of times before you're any good. Ironically, it's the Western world that takes classic Chinese martial arts and makes it work the way it was intended. I just don't understand what those guys in China are thinking.

It was a tie, Xu Xiaodong kept hitting Master Lei Lei and Master Lei Lei kept hitting the floor.... ergo, a draw.
You know what's funny, while they criticize Xu for not being a master or calling out fake Masters. If you actually watch him he exhibits a lot of mechanics and techniques that you see in Tai Chi, Wing Chun, traditional Chinese boxing. So if there is really a master of Chinese martial arts this guy is it. It doesn't look pretty because it's not supposed to. It's a dynamic situation he clearly is a great fighter. Who has fundamentals and techniques that derive from traditional martial arts. I'm glad he's sitting there kicking ass and taking names. His name will definitely go up into my motivational wall at my dojo. I'm a practitioner of Japanese martial arts and also various styles of Chinese martial arts. If we're going to keep these Arts alive we need to pressure test the techniques and ask good questions of our instructors. There is too many people who are teachers for just downright not prepared mentally physically spiritually to teach. There's a lot of guys who don't even know how to use a firearm let alone stand in a specific stance. I think the lesson here is, traditional martial arts martial arts came from a place violence it's just a structure. You have to pressure test
May God forgive all those who believe that bullshido is real.
The Chinese government made Xu change his name and paint his face before the fight. He had no choice
As someone who practices real tai chi, these "master" are an embarrassment to the craft, these frauds just damage the actual value of chinese internal arts. The master of our school is a decent fighter who goes into the ring with professional muay thai fighters, but clearly says that he is not focusing on fighting and that anyone committed to actual fighting training would easily beat him. At the same time, many of the techniques and methods taught in the internal arts are applicable in actual fights, but they can only complement a strong foundation of basic fighting skills. Someone without the physical conditioning will never be able to compensate that with some complementary techniques from the internal arts. These old masters dont have a fighting physique, they should not be surprised they get beaten up by a properly trained fighter almost doubling their weight. None of them had a reasonable stance or effective striking technique.. In Xu's position I'd tell these masters that they are disrespecting Chinese culture by misrepresenting it, that would go over much better with the Chinese authorities I guess.
I was in Bujinkan for awhile, thinking “I’d never get away with that in a street fight”. It seemed silly. But, it was good exercise, I had many friends there, and it wasn’t as expensive as others nearby. I began to notice that I moved differently; Smoother, more efficiently. When my buddies would playfully throw hands at me, I new exactly how far away I needed to be to avoid them and then I could swiftly move in and usually get in a quick, whipping backhand to the nuts, or something. It was the movement, distancing, and comfort that I inadvertently learned. I also got comfortable rolling and falling, which is helpful in New England winters, where people hurt themselves trying NOT to fall.

That's a good point. It's generally always helpful to practice SOME kind of martial art over nothing. Hell, as an old full contact medieval weapons fighter, I HATE epee fencing, but would definitely recommend someone with zero martial arts experience to take it. The techniques probably wouldn't help much in any real stick, sword, or unarmed fight, but the training with footwork, tempo, the general attitude and time spent sparring can make a world of difference. And if they already know how to punch, that kind of training can set them up real well to learn to box. There's always benefits to training and practicing body mechanics and the very fundamentals, even if what you're training doesn't amount to an actual martial art. As another example, I learned how to fall really well, as well as pop up really fast, from a couple pro wrestling training sessions. Even though I'd never assume they were teaching me to fight, I learned a lot I can apply to a fight if adapted correctly.
These sell jobs look more exaggerated than professional wrestling 🤣🤣
I did the fake kung fu shit when kids were trying to bully and rob me at school. I did some fake tai chi shit and kids left me alone throughout my time in HS.. it worked for me 😂
This man has all the things the Chinese were famous for at one time , politeness and honour. To treat him in such a way is to dishonour the very culture of their own country.
Buddy watched all of the old Kung Fu movies and thought “I could take them”. Then proceeded to make it his life’s work dismantling the Kung Fu legends by reenacting a modern day Kung Fu movie with him as the protagonist. What a legend!
There needs to be a comedy movie about this man.
