I doubt that all 1.4 billion Chinese people eat this every morning. But it looks appetizing

Yes, you're probably right. It's unlikely that all 1.4 billion Chinese eat this every day. But it's really delicious!

I just made this but had no black vinegar, so I used half rice vinegar half balsamic vinegar. It turned out OK, but the vinegar comes through very prominently as a flavor and I imagine it will be much better with actual black vinegar; just ordered some on Amazon! Also, what is the exact amount of oil you use? Seems like a ton of oil for a meal early in the morning (at least my heartburn thinks so).

Balsamic vinegar and black vinegar may look similar in colour, but they taste completely different. I should try balsamic vinegar. You only need to add a very small amount of oil. Just a teaspoon is enough. In fact, when I was filming, I added a little more than the recommended amount. (It's a secret)

I haven't tried it myself, but as we originally made the seasoning in oil, adding sesame oil again would make it too oily, so I wouldn't recommend it. If you don't have sesame, I think it's good to add crushed nuts like peanuts instead.

What is black vinegar made of? Can i substitute it with kitchen vinegar?

In China, black vinegar is typically made by fermenting grains such as rice, barley or sticky rice. These grains are fermented to produce a liquid to which salt is added and then aged. Black vinegar and ordinary vinegar are not only different in colour but also in flavour, so they would probably taste different. As there are different types of vinegar, I should try experimenting with them next time.

No, they dont. if ur using 1.4 billion poeple, maybe 50 percent eat a version of this. But not in the morning, especially with garlic. Maybe lunch or dinner. Aint no one in working class has time to make this in the morning. Why make such a big lie? It's a good recipe but, lying makes ur channel loose it's cred.
