My Japanese mother owned her own restaurant. I lost her 13 years ago. She took all of her recipes with her when a brain aneurysm took her from us in a blink. Her food was how she expressed love. She grew up in war torn Japan; a poor and starving child. She'd tell me about her hunger pains and watching her emaciated mother give up her portions so she could have just a little bit more. Feeding people and having them leave her full and happy was her act of kindness. God, I miss her.

What I like about your channel is that there is natural sounds in the video. No music of any kind or any other sound that blocks the actual sounds. It let's you feel what is being cooked and enjoy the video.

There is something just so calming and soothing watching these food prep videos. And of course they give a hellacious appetite. I can't make it half way thru one of these without heading to the kitchen.
I grew up in a restaurant family and I remember learning how to make gyoza, wontons, egg rolls, tempura, ramen broth, fried rice, and other dishes. So glad I did because it made me appreciate the work done in the kitchen, especially if it's family run. These are great behind the scene videos of food prep and cooking skills that they have, so keep them coming. Only problem is that it just makes you hungry watching these vids. I always have to run to the kitchen and see what I have so that I can make these dishes. I've made so many versions of fried rice that my wife is tired of it. I'm half Asian so it's in my blood. 😅 Time to go make some gyoza now.
The way he filled the ladle with rice using just the Wok. Such beauty 😆

All the delicious classics - fried rice, chicken karaage, gyouza, and ramen. Looks delicious!
Amazing to see how these guys work - without ridiculous music or poor commentary - thanks! I've been watching these types of videos for a while now, picking up tricks and tips along the way, working on my wok skills and I doubt whether I'll even have to go to a restaurant again! These videos are truly relevevationary and educational. Thank you for this well-made presentation! !
Wow the way he flipped the rice into the spatula to place it in the bowl 🥰 all of the tool you all use to have great technique is amazing, you all cook with endurance, patience, and love ❤️

I just had breakfast but now I’m hungry again. I love rice and eggs. Restaurant workers just don’t get enough credit for how hard they work. A simple looking dish can be both complex and time consuming.

Restaurant aork was more respected when every family cooked daily meals at home from "scratch" & had some understanding that it was arduous labor.
Almost therapeutic to watch. No distracting music. Just the beauty of cooking

I haven't had the opportunity to have Japanese food, but, after seeing this video, I certainly would love to try some.
Super impressed. One man prepping and cooking all that.
Excellent video. There's something soothing about watching an expert at their craft, and when the expert is making food, it's even soothinger! Also, that man was working very hard to produce those prodigious amounts of different foods. I was trying to make my own dinner while watching and I had to keep stopping to see how he did certain things. Oh! And everything looked delicious.
It all looks very delicious. I love gyoza 🥟 and ramen 🍜. All the natural sounds of the cooking process make for an enjoyable video
The sounds, the food, the calm and peaceful amazingness of this video is incredible. Best 18 mins I’ve spent in a while.
Cooking is a form of art. And Japan have many great artists.
Those dumplings were so beautiful! So much work went into making each one and we just gobble them up. Very nice work!
Not a single grain of rice has fallen out of the pan, all sparkling clean, I bow! Big hugs from Greece!
Everything looks so delicious. The pot stickers are my absolute favorite! 🤤
Wow. So much everything in one go. I wish I had such passion & skill for cooking
This is is incredible. What an amazing amount of knowledge, preparation and skill goes into this. I want.
Years and years of preparing these delicious meals, to me it looks like perfection.
This makes me appreciate these kind of places so much.
One of my favorite. As children we lived in Fukuoka, we would routinely go to the Ginza and get a big bowl to share for less than $1USD. She's making Gyoza too. So good.😋
