I have the same thing happening but the switch is brand new so I don’t know if it’s the problem

Thx for tip. Have a little 110 trying to get going. It used to crank over. But now getting no power to starter. It worked for like a second. So thinking it’s the switch. Thx again

See if ya got a idea here. Got a coleman 125 atv. Turn the key over no dash no headligjts no start. Can cross solenoid to start or push start. Thought it was ignition until i could still start it with key on. Now im not sure what it could be.

Hi Mike, I could use help. 110cc Tao Tao. Died during cold cranking after winter. Battery is good, 13.1 volts measured. New solenoid and CDI. Lights work. No click sound from solenoid or starter. Tried jumping solenoid and get nothing. Could it be this start switch?

If you jump the solenoid with a screwdriver and the starter does not turn probably bad starter. You can push the starter button and see if you get voltage on both sides of solenoid. One side should always be hot. If you get it on one side and not the other the solenoid or switch has an issue. Try tapping on the starter with the wooden handle of a hammer then jump solenoid maybe its just stuck.

Hey my name is Justin I have a TaoTao 250 and I was riding it today and the chain came off but then I went to try to start it and won't do anything I have no lights no brake lights nothing only I can get it to start is to jump start it push it do you know what that could be

It would have been hilarious if you had left a 4:30 and never came back.

What color are the wires to the start button

They Vary from model to model. Best way to find out is open it and look what wires go to the contact button.

My lights don't work

Went to open the switch system, after putting wd40 on the screws, but they were seized and they stripped on the first rotation😭

I gotta question I just got 2 of these atvs in pieces where does the key switch live at its got 2 bolt holes not sure where it goes the wirings all ripped out also so i gotta couple' projects ahead

Well just that little bit is gonna stop it fdoing what i'm supposed to do

Best bet, buy new unit off EBay for $12... Plug n play in 15 minutes! No muss no fuss...

Unless you don't have a lot of money. Maybe you don't have a n Ebay Account. Then you have to find and buy the Correct one if you can. They are not all the same. If you have another push button switch lying around you could use that as well. There are several options. This is just how to use what you already have. Thanks for the Comment.

It shouldnt start like that. if its just turning over and not starting the Solenoid may be stuck or something is crossing the two posts that is conductive.

Copedipper19 86 the first thing you should do is when coneccting the battery ,you start by the positive terminal first and then the negative.also you need to replace your solenoid and make sure you conect it the same way it come off and that should do it

Or buy a new one and plug in for $6.99
