I grew up there, the best memories of my life 1970-1978

Theres a guy on Beebe rd who does free parking, free water, candy for kids, for pony swim, decendant of shore native americans and can trace to capt john wallop ( wallops Island) just nice island hospitality. Refuses money.😊

Some places to eat I would recommend are: coda pizza, pick taqueria, island creamary, sometimes the sushi place is open and they have really good seafood, and I would also recommend biking around the island. :)

Should check out Frostproof Florida during the winter with it's beautiful lake shoreline and pier!

Miss the big lady at the water slides, right next to The Dairy Queen. AJ’s -before it was a fine dining restaurant. McDuffy’s and playing the Alien Invaders arcade there. Kite Koop. The Brandt on the pier. The Christmas Brandt with their stuffed horse. That half sunken barge and The Chincoteague Inn. The Pink Pony. The Bookery. The House with the ‘’poker fish’’ (swordfish) statues. Captain Mr. Bob’s Sea Treasures. …so so much more. There’s a lot that has changed but I’m glad to see a lot of it is still the same.
