Mostly all of your info was spot on!! So glad to see someone doing an informational video with actually accurate info since most of the time half the info is wrong online about chins!! A few things i noticed tho: Absolutely no paper bedding is safe. If people want to use bedding it needs to be kiln dried pine shavings or aspen shavings. There is no safe paper or cardboard bedding for chins because it will always cause an impact or it will expand and cause blockages. You might wanna mention that anti-pill fleece is the correct type of fleece. Thanks for making this video! Ill be telling people who are thinking about getting a chin to watch your video first! I have two chinnys and they are amazing little creatures. Love them so much. Also, youre GORGEOUS!

Can we use the pellets that they sell at tractor supply for their litter enclosures I currently use it for my bunny and my two guinea pigs and they absolutely adore this I’m just worried that if I get a chinchilla it’ll try to eat it

@@Thealyssamarie you can use it ONLY if you have a wire/bared bottom of the cage and a drop pan underneath that. If its contained under the wire bottom, its fine as long as the chinny cant reach through to grab them. If you want to put it inside the cage where the chin could eat it, the short answer is "no". If they eat a compressed bedding pellet, (which is totally possible since it looks like their food pellets) it can expand inside their tummy and cause a blockage that would kill them. Its best to use regular kiln dried pine shavings inside the cage because those dont puff up when wet. But if you have the poop pan under a wire grate, yes you can technically use the bedding pellets as long as they arent close enough up to the wire for it to grab through the bars :)

Thank you for posting this! I love small rodent type animals :) my mom said if I keep my room clean for the rest of the year I can get one! I know a lot of stuff about chinchillas already but I still,learned some new things off of this :D

I might get a chinchilla but I heard litter boxes aren't the best for them and I could just clean the cage because their poops are solid but I need another opinion other than google lol
