Same, but still let this be a warning that China are definitely are in the race trying to win. Plus GPT4 is 2 years old. Other companies have basically matched it. Idk if it’s because GPT has become the standard or if LLMs kinda converge around this performance level. We’ll know where the market really is when GPT5 comes out

I've heard China has more than 50% of all AI researchers, why wouldn't they have the best model? If google could create TP4, which is behind NVIDIA but still competitive , then China could create their own AI accelerator. So I'd be surprised if China don't take the lead.

@@T1tusCr0w agreed, don't see China catching up any time soon. Probably take 3 years for them to start getting compute. But this is probably the one thing China want to make sure they get a lead on if they can. I'd be shocked if they haven't put in unlimited money to do this. Also since they don't have compute they have a big incentive to work on the theory and get improvements that way. If they not spreading lies, have you seen their EMO tech. If China could buy Nvidia GPU's, Nvidia would be worth probably 3 trillion by now. China would buy everything Nvidia could sell them. They will be working on their own accelerator, they have a decent node. not the best but okay.

Nvidia are basically supplying steel for the Industrial Revolution in 1840. & it’s good to be in steel. It’s probably right holding back the Hoppers from them. Even though I’d make cash off it. Did you know they have buyers on lots of pc forums trying to pay for people’s personal 4090’s that they then chain together for Ai compute. They are deadly serious about this. & USA better not blow THIS lead. They will never get it again.

once AI is developed beyond a certain point, it won't be controllable. so beyond this point there's no risk in terms of being controlled by bad people, it'll just act on its own behalf

You drive me crazy by constantly repeating yourself, uttering another sentence that either uses the exact same words you just said, or meaning the same thing your earlier sentence meant. Zero new information, but time is spent and lost. As you talk, please ask yourself constantly: is my next sentence actually adding any new information Or am I just wasting peoples time? Thanks.

sorry, but it's chinese. in the past, they presented new AI avatars, and later it came out that it is actually motion capture of an actress. so, some numbers on a projection alone do not impress me. plain and simple.
