I was a little sad when car manufacturing ended in Australia, but now I realise how fortunate we are to have access to all these new EVs from around the world. Seems, in the end, protecting inefficient manufacturing only hurts consumers.

i lost money on them as well; and they seem to be trying to make good vehicles; but they've never made a penny and now they are stuck in the vortex of cheap chinese brands focusing on price instead of quality. Every makers in the curren BEV environment is losing money; probably including Tesla; we'll find out July 17th. The Bottom line is Chinese BEV makers are committing suicide in a race to the bottom. I think it is tragic; maybe quality doesn't sell in China; it takes years to establish a company as having high quality; and they seem in a massive rush in an insane persuit of market share. You wont have market share if your out of business.

I'm back and the Xpeng G6 looks good

I, like a lot of people are “never a Tesla”. So with that in mind and a pocket full of money, I am waiting and watching. The G6, EV5 and ID4 are all on my radar. All of these are due and holding their prices until someone shows their hand first.

I wouldn’t buy ANY car industry stock for at least the next 5 years as the entire world shakes out the winners and losers. Lots of other industries that are not experiencing rapid competition and downward pressure on industry stocks. 1:52

The problem in the US with 800v architecture is the lack of chargers that provide that much power.

It is compatible with 400V, the Xpeng G6 is 680V as far as I remember, it needs to be more than 650 to be considered as 800V, but it can be dangerous if over passing physical capacities of the battery. As Xpeng underuses the battery because if their very high efficiency this allow sparing material damages and offering very very good warranty and allowing them to evolute for a decade or even more... Xpeng separates the material (hardware) and the software which allows to improve automatically with OTA upgrades. They are moving robots as their Xpeng Robotics PX5, PX3 or Unicorn...

in Denmark they are around 5% lower price than Tesla MY but has more gear and 7 years warrenty. dont think i would like to support any of the compagnies. G9 is selling ok but that is also cheaper than gerrman cars in the same size.

7 years warranty and undercuts Tesla Model Y in Norway on price by a good margin, not huge but good. So i'm not sure you how you could claim that the price is the same.

No any news, But Xpeng is also in Costa Rica, almost 100 G3i last month, also P7 and G9 is available, App connectivy and OTA also available.

Plenty of good EVs coming from China but how many of these companies be around for the long term given how ferocious the competition is? If these car companies goes bust, the owners of their cars will be stranded with cars worth very little.

Does XPeng have cameras ,lidar and or radar to help FSD ?

Zeekr only raised $441M - it worries me that this will not be enough. I wouldn’t touch this stock until there’s much more data on the chart but expect it to go up like most EV stocks along with the Hang Seng index.

As a test driver, I would not recommend G6, if you like Xpeng you're better off getting their flagship product G9. Although it's more expensive, G9 is a much better product, a very comfortable and intelligent BEV SUV.

BS. The last IPCC report stated that " there is no direct correlation between extreme weather events and climate change ". Your idealogical beliefs are unfounded and lack scientific evidence.

The XPeng G6 SUV is a good all-round electric car with excellent assisted driving technology and spacious trunk when it was released about a year ago. However, battery technology has moved on rapidly since then and in today's competition, the driving range for the basic LFP model is not that good. As far as NCM batteries, I wouldn't consider buying these electric cars because of higher fire risks. XPeng need to change to CATL's new Shenxing Plus LFP battery or reduced its price to have any chance of competing with Tesla Model Y.

It looks much better than a Tesla. Who cares about autonomous driving until we fully trust computer one day!

Just for context, most Chinese EVs are designed by European & American engineers, including their factories.

@@amandagrant4331 My point is simple, the cars are manufactured in China by an international collaboration, but like Musk they try to take all the credit (as if they did it on their own). In the US they have a chicken tax (as Sam likes to call it) which is a reaction to infringements of international patents.

It would fail if it is not significantly cheaper than Tesla. I think that is where these companies are making mistakes. Make mass produced cheaper cars that most people can afford rather than selling a few expensive cars. Its divides rich and middle class and most people start to associate that brand with that we can't afford it and move on.

The reason it is doing badly in Europe is because it doesn't have a good look, not as good as Tesla or BYD Sealion, they need somone to design a better look for the car, I would not personally buy it... MG HS, BYD Sealion look much better..

Exactly. Xpeng should deliver it at lower price than Model Y specially at the start until they get popular as Tesla specially in Europe and outside China. This Xpeng can be better but it is not known that much outside China as compared to Tesla so they need to make some advertisement more.

I don't see the advantage over Tesla. It matches all the specs but Tesla has an established infrastructure. I would worry about repairs and warranty.

Tesla is not just a car. It is a complete software package! Why would I buy a copy for the same price? As you would say for me, "It's a no-brainer!"

I think we need to be careful in pushing the China EV market as a positive thing… I’d like Electric Viking to do a vlog on the workmanship or lack there of of many Chinese cheap bits of rubbish that are doing more harm than good for those who buy them, the environment and the obvious lack of concern by just dumping these on to other more responsible market economies…. Be very careful even investing in these companies… (Get some scruples about you electric Viking)

Xpeng Motors is not having an easy time in China. NIO focuses on battery swapping, ideal luxury, and Xpeng autonomous driving. However, after Huawei entered the market, Xpeng Motors was defeated by Huawei technology in autonomous driving. But in the Australian market, I think it should be much ahead

You got it the other way round. Huawei started autonomous driving research far earlier than XPeng with a far bigger team. But XPeng has caught up and has a comparable ADAS to Huawei's, depending on whether you prefer conservative (XPeng) or aggressive (Huawei) decision making. It's deployed to more cars and to more parts of the country with no additional cost apart from the upfront cost for the LiDAR. It also iterates far quicker than its competition, with new exciting features like valet driving and valet summon coming in the next major version.

Sam advising people to follow the n006 strategy "buy high - sell low". If you don't sell you have no losses. Get some cojones. Only beginners buy when a stock is going up and sell when it is going down. Selling XPENG is a very dumb idea. Sam seems to put money into stocks that he needs. Don't use money you need for your life. The money you invest you must be ready to lose 100%.

I just have to applaud your content man, well done. I remember having a consultation with a trade analyst last Month, and it was incredibly insightful, at least $47k profits weekly. Can't stress enough how helpful experts in this field are!
