China's Stolen Children (Kidnapping Documentary) | Real Stories

Фильм және анимация

With extraordinary access to devastated parents desperately searching for their stolen son; a man who brokers the deals and has sold his own offspring; and prospective parents grappling with giving up their soon-to-be-born daughter through lack of options, we are brought face to face with the crisis that such a stringent government policy has created among China's poorest people.
Beautiful, haunting, deeply tragic, but impossible to ignore, this film takes us into the heart of modern China. A place where girl babies are being sold for 3,000-4,000 RMB (£200-270); detectives specialise in finding kidnapped children; and child traffickers are so relaxed about the trade they ply, that they allow the film-makers to covertly record them buying and selling tiny human lives. Tens of thousands of children are now kidnapped and traded on the black market whilst the State is more concerned with keeping the story quiet than tracing Chinas stolen children.
Narrated by Sir Ben Kingsley

I probably couldn't agree even more however a lot of them are adopted out into the United States can u 💯 percent say for sure that every parent knows for a fact that the kids are kidnapped the price really can't prove that because adoption legal is even expensive the only justice the families can get is by praying that eventually the kidnapper will slip up and use their real name

L B about 1 percent because many of the children still remembers their parents or information about them. Only in some cases may the children not have any memory of their relative or family members. Even if they do get adopted oversees, they have a higher standard of living and the education is better. It it more likely that they will live better oversees rather than where they were from.

Angel Wu They’re all complicit, disgusting, the kidnappers, the people who keep them in the village that apparently the police/government don’t care to do anything about, the people who turn. blind eye and basically let it all happen and the people who are buying the children. The government is obviously getting something out of this monetarily or they would get properly involved, they have the power. Just like the organ harvesting, murder, persecution of Falun Gong for instance. They are responsible.

@@anglophoned There are much more ways of human trafficking than kidnapping. And it happens all over the world. The question is: *How many birthparents of adopted children are / were aware of what's happening and willing to give up their children?* My friends birthparents were told their baby didn't survive the birth - 40 years later they learned the truth. Since DNA testing is so popular, so many horrible secrets come to light.

What's really disgusting and upsetting is not so much the kidnappers / human trafficker's. It's the fact that there is actual demand by people willing to buy children. They should get a life prison for that disgusting behavior.

You can't easily judge her unless you experience it yourself, losing your children. Like the father mentioned. I am a mother, and I understand how she might have used suppression so she can move on, especially having another children to raise and not to fall into a deep depression and losing her will to live. I lived in Shanghai from 2010 to 2016 and also spent time in WuXi & SuZhou I used to ride round a bit on my Harley & I speak very good Chinese, so I would be asked sometimes about Child Abduction in the West and if it was a problem there also... even back in 2010-2016 child grabs off the streets where talked about and the whisper was Organ Harvesting, this happend quit a bit I suspect from what I heard, but was just not openly talked about much, but like so many subjects in China it was deemed to be "sensitive" so was spoken about in whispers, but I was told most schools have training about child abduction and warn parents to be careful not to leave their kids alone in China. It must be far worse now, but I would guess its still a taboo subject amound the Chinese. Organ Harvesting is not a subject many dare talk about in China as it directly upsets their Government who profit most from it.

i think a great majority of this is a result of the one-child policy because of messed up birthing allowances that one couple is allowed to have and etc...

I would photograph different parts of my child.....hands, feet, ears....not just the face. I would do DNA tests at birth And I would put a small tattoo on my child....something discreet but recognizable. Extraordinary measures for extraordinary circumstances.

It's not about being treated equally that matters it's the child not being with their parents that matters, as a love hearted human being you shouldn't want to buy another human body that's called slavery, have your own child. Even having your own child you can't overwork them like that so why are you buying children for🤔 if they stop buying children people that go steal them wouldn't have nobody to sell them to PERIOD we have cruel people all over this world some are worse than others

Probably wanted a wife for her son. Due to the one child policy and the favoring of boys, there's not enough women for men. So a lot of children, Even grown women get kidnapped to be a wife. It's sad and disgusting how often it happens.

They even kidnap girls from neighboring countries like Mongolia too. Girls would be snatched while walking home in a broad day light. And probably sold in rural China

Once found guilty of kidnapping and child abuse the only logical and worthy deterrent is death by torture and public execution. In the most punishing and gruesome way. The family members can engage in the torture and are given all tools upon request. The state can then leave the body on display publicly for a month as a sign for what happens to those who engage in this despicable evil.
