Poison Pills: Exposing Fentanyl, Meth, and Xylazine in Mexican Pharmacies | Transparency

Poison Pills showcases the story of our team traveling to Mexico to investigate laced pharmaceuticals in licensed Mexican pharmacies. Watch undercover footage of these shady interactions caught on our hidden cameras-such as blatant threats like, “they’ll cut your head off,” advice from a “pharmacist” on how to microwave and snort ketamine, and offers to purchase 10,000 pills or more-along with never-before-seen interviews from industry experts and government officials, as well as our staggering results after purchasing and testing these counterfeit pills.

Thank you so much for this. We’ve lost way too many people to accidental drug overdoses due to this problem. I’ll be ordering testing kits very soon. My daughter’s in middle school and I’m fucking terrified.

Is this coercion happening in hospitals, doctors offices, and clinics? How far do these roots go? This may just be the surface of a bigger story. Incredible reveal! Thx Bunkbot for dropping a text with a link to this video! Stay safe out there!❤🙏🏾

A couple days ago I bought 60 legitimate time-released tramadol in a Mexican pharmacy and regret not just asking for fentanyl. Now I'm stuck with more tramadol than I can get through US Customs. Had I known all these family-run pharmacies were selling fentanyl I would have asked for it in the first place. But the truth is they're not.

This is crazy! I moved to Merida Mexico (The Yucatan) which is 3 hours from Cancun, Tulum, Playa del Carmen, and Cozumel. We visit often and have gone to some of those farmacias. Even in Merida I was shocked at the different medications we could get without a prescription! One pharmacist asked my boyfriend if he wanted to purchase and steroids!!!! 29:41

Not all of Mexico is bad. I moved to Merida Mexico (The Yucatan) which is about 3 hours from Cancun. Merida is safer than Portland Oregon where I moved from and it is actually the safest city in Mexico and second of all of Central and South America. The most dangerous areas are tourists areas like Playa Del Carmen, Cozumel, Tulum and Cancun but we just stay out of farmacias and night clubs when we go there.
