For instance, that study states that China leads in AI hardware accelerators ,aircraft engines, machine learning.. but everyone knows Nvidia and AMD monopolize AI hardware accelerator market, US has maintained a significant lead in aircraft engine technology, and we how China has faced challenges in keeping up with machine learning models like ChatGPT, Bing, or even Google Bard.

    Of course, the Chinese space station is the most advanced in history, it is the latest collaboration of stolen technology from Russia and the United States. China has been able to take advantage of 50 years of ideation, ingenuity, risk and sacrifice from the rest of the world. China has not used ingenuity since gun powder.

    yeah - without china as a competitior here - the US will do Nothing -- the 'space' industry just turned into pork barrel politics to give money to southern states (sls basically designed to use parts which supported those companies rather than fresh design resulting in a trully expensive out of date behemotth - or is that white elephant) -- the iss was just a political move to lessen the impact of the soviet space station lead (and uuhm borrow their tech)

  • @daniels7907

    @daniels7907

    11 ай бұрын

    Not really. No country on Earth actually has the money to make humanity into a "multiplanetary species". The Apollo program devoured 2.5% of the U.S. GDP during the 1960's and it only bought us handful of short-term landings on the Moon. This is why you don't see Elon Musk liquidating his Tesla stock to pay for "his" Mars program. He knows that he can't even begin to afford it. Neither can the U.S. We certainly won't get a "huge advantage" over any other country if we bankrupt ourselves trying to do this. Which is why Moon and Mars bases have been talked about since the 1950's and we still don't have them.

    4:25 - Fortunately, this will be an "arms race by proxy" - more of a "bragging rights race"; certainly better than the actual arms race (not that the "real thing" will be fully replaced by it). It would be naive, of course, to expect these blocks to unite their efforts (although, at the end of the Moon race, who would have expected that the first module of the ISS would be Russian?) However, UNOOSA would be well advised to spearhead efforts to ensure interoperability of lunar communication and navigation infrastructure, and, ideally, docking, electrical and fuel and gas interfaces, in the interest of safety.

At worst, they some of these countries including China, have pretty much enslaved their populations. @@ddegn Einsteins theory of gravity has been proven over and over again to be true. Given that, the amount of gravity holding the galaxies together is extremely higher than the amount of mass in the galaxies, which means there's something that we can't detect on the electromagnetic spectrum that has gravity. We call it dark matter. We will eventually discover what dark matter is, but it does exist. It's not just a math problem.

    We have spent our entire history fighting over land, food, and about everything else not listed here. I truly hope that we age out of killing each other and start living in unity. This is our planet and if we don’t start sharing it and caring for our environment and each other we will be the reason we go extinct it makes me genuinely upset when I watch conflict after conflict, military actions just to get china pissed. My question is why just why? It’s time to make a change globally 😢
