Just one month before this match was played, Ma Lin was defeated by Ma long in the quarter finals of world championships in Rotterdam. Ma Lin took the revenge this time... ;)

This should be Ma Lin's first champion title in single after Beijing Olympic, also the last in his career which ended 2 yrs after this match.😢

Ma Lin is my all-times TT hero...Regardless of who plays better, I enjoy watching Ma Lin playing cuz he looks more experienced.

I really like this video, and others like it. The overall color of the ball barriers, floor, table, ball, etc., make it so easy to follow the ball in play. Great job for whoever is responsible.

In China, people never think Malong is better than the previous Chinese legends. I know Malong is one of the best now along with ZJK in this period of time, But People from other countries should just stop overrating Ma Long. He has not become the greatest Chinese player of all time.

When Ma Lin was in his prime, Ma Long was just a little boy. youngsters now only know Malong, but he is just one of stars in Chinese table tennis history.

Ma Long has always had no problem dealing with Ma Lin, he likely just choked in this match as he was still quite young. Ma Long IS one of the greatest table tennis players in history. I don't understand why people think Ma Lin is so great. He still has never won his grand slam. Ma Lin was just a great player to watch, he is definitely still a legend of table tennis though.

groudon4616 Ma longs competition simply disapeared for him to achieve greatness. ZJK was gone. FZ is still young and inexperienced. XX style is too predictable thats why he always lost to WLQ. Ma Lin always had tough competition to beat. his chinese compatriots. Boll, Samsonov, Waldner kong and liu guoliang when he was younger. today hes out there alone at the top with one competiter who is still up and coming.

​@@TTTTCJGKS Still quite young?At 22?He was not a teen.Ma Lin faced huge competition and was relevant for over a decade,surviving tons of changes like the 40mm ball,the new serve rule etc .Ma Long's biggest trophy before Wang Hao's retirement was winning the World Cup in 2012 against 31yo T. Boll who hardly played any tournament that year to save his body for the Olympics.Greatest t.t player my ass!Most of his opponents were in their 30's when he became invincible.Seems like you first started watching tt after 2015.
