China also has a long history of imperialism in the sense that they forcibly settle land in the millions while displacing it's natives. See southern China and Inner Mongolia. In my eyes, this seems worse than colonialism in the traditional sense of the word.

except china doesnt claim that, this video is literally a hash of old disputes that are already solved or outright lies. for example, the PRC has never, in its entire existence since it was founded in 49', claimed Mongolia, in fact the two mutually recognized each other the day after the founding of the PRC. the Russian border was solved decades ago. China's disputes comes down to really 4 areas, those with india which china offered back in the 50s to solve by making the actual line of control the border, India refused. those with japan, japan took land at the point of a gun and their policy is inconsistent, they want to keep land taken at the point of a gun but then wants Russia to return land that Russia took from them at the point of a gun. taiwan, which is a civil war that the US intervened in otherwise this dispute wouldn't exist. and lastly the SCS which is a dumpster fire with everyone there claiming bits and all have overlapping claims.

I suggest you to look at China map published by P.R.China, and that is what Chinese government claims. China does claim South China sea, and the four tip islands at the south Yoku Islands, but never the entire Yoku Islands (entails hundreds which is occupied by US troops by the way). @John Smith Reminds me of when the Qin Dynasty beat the weak and annexed land from the Yue people 1842 - China would not of been able to keep Hong Kong even if they wanted to, because Britain was determined, using force as history recorded. China was not ready for another war with Britain over HK; that was the whole reason the final treaty "Convention for the Extension of Hong Kong Territory" in 1898. All countries were born of unequal treaties/annexation through conquest. And if your country is huge, you have a history of using the "bigger stick".

Not every country is powerful enough to challenge China, but if every other country simply understood that there's no such thing as a "treaty" with China, things would be better off. China has good diplomatic relationship with these 4 four countries, Russia is member of Shanghai Cooperation Organization, and Mongolia is observer state, Bhutan doesn't have formal diplomatic relationship with both China and USA, and Japan has islands disputes with all its neighbors: China, Russia and Sout Korea, why no one in the West complains about Japan?

Poor Mongolia, crushed between Russia and China it must be very careful not to upset any one of them.

I am Nepali Citizen. I cant say anything about boarder dispute of China with other countries but after Nepal China boarder treaty in 1962 there has never any boarder dispute between Nepal and China. Those News cuttings which is shown in video were rejected by Nepali Government at that time.
